Yesterday was a tough day for the two most important players on the Eagles, Donovan McNabb and Brian Westbrook. McNabb was injured late in the first half against the Steelers, hurting his chest. He would later return to the game and played well. Westbrook, on the other hand, never returned after injuring his ankle in the second quarter. He was later seen on crutches as he left the game.
Eagles fans feared the worst as both players were scheduled for MRI's Monday. Fortunately, the news is pretty good for both players. McNabb has a contusion in his upper chest and will be sore, but won't miss any time. Westbrook's MRI revealed that he has a strained ankle and Andy Reid called him "day to day". I would doubt that Westbrook will play next weekend against the Bears, but at least he doesn't appear to be out for any extended period of time.
It appears that Eagles fans can all exhale now. The two most valuable components to the offense don't have...
