Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson apologized to his team on Sunday for letting his contract situation become a distraction.
He also noted that he'd be fine if the Eagles used their franchise tag on him if they can't come to an agreement on a long-term contract in the offseason.
"I can admit to certain things affecting me during the season. I just want to apologize," Jackson said. "I probably could have handled it a little bit different, but now sitting here after the season's over I can just say I was able to put it behind me and really just fight for my teammates, fight for my organization."
Jackson was benched for one game earlier this season for missing a team meeting. He has also been accused of going through the motions during some games this season.
Jackson finished the campaign with 58 catches, 961 yards and four touchdowns.
