NOV 16 DEAN TO IR The Philadelphia Eagles announced Thursday that they’ve officially placed linebacker Nakobe Dean on IR due to his foot injury. 

“Eagles LB Nakobe Dean has been diagnosed with a Lisfranc sprain, sources tell me and @RapSheet,” NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo tweeted on Nov. 8. “Dean, who called the defensive signals to start this season, will see a foot specialist to determine a course of action but he’s expected to be placed on IR.”

In Dean’s minimal four-game absence, the Eagles will lean on linebackers Nicholas Morrow and Zach Cunningham. 

Coming off their bye week, the Eagles visit the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday. 

NOV. 14 BILLS FIRE OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR The Buffalo Bills have moved on from offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey on Tuesday, per NFL insider Adam Schefter. 

The decision comes after the Bills' 24-22 loss to the Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football at Highmark Stadium. Buffalo turned the ball over four times in the loss, with Josh Allen accounting for three of them. 

The Philadelphia Eagles (8-1) play the Bills (5-5) on Nov. 26 at Lincoln Financial Field at 4:25 p.m. ET.

NOV. 9 COWBOYS LEGEND GUARANTEES WIN IN EAGLES REMATCH - Michael Irvin's final moment as an NFL player was spent being carried off the field on a stretcher at Veterans Stadium. He is a Hall of Famer, and the admitted "favorite all-time player" of Jerry Jones.

Irvin is also a media mouthpiece, who nauseatingly lets his Dallas Cowboys bias ooze into his microphone. He also holds a "special" place in his heart for Philly.

On Monday's episode of Fox Sports 1's Undisputed - in the wake of the Eagles' exhilarating win over his beloved Cowboys - Irvin guaranteed his former team would win the teams' Dec. 10 rematch at AT&T Stadium.

"What we saw is, no, Philly is not too much for Dallas," Irvin said. "No, Philly's not. Dallas, you are right there, and I guarantee you - I believe Dallas would win this game in Dallas ... Dallas will win the game in Dallas."

NOV 8 DEAN TO IR? LB Nakobe Dean has been diagnosed with a Lisfranc sprain, sources tell NFL Network, and the expectation is now that he will be moved to IR.

Dean will reportedly see a foot specialist to determine a future course of action but he’s expected to be out of action for the Eagles, who lost him to the injury in Sunday's win over the Cowboys.

NOV 5 NAKOBE DEAN INJURED Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Nakobe Dean suffered an injury in the first half of Sunday's meeting with the Dallas Cowboys at Lincoln Financial Field. He has now been ruled out due to a foot injury. 

Dean was seen walking to the locker room prior to halftime, and didn't return. He posted three total tackles, a half a sack, and one quarterback hit.

The Eagles lead Dallas 21-17 in the third quarter.

NOV 2 NFC PLAYER OF THE MONTH Philadelphia Eagles receiver A.J. Brown had himself a month totaling 700 yards and five touchdowns on 40 receptions, which was enough for the NFL to recognize him as the NFC's Player of the Month for October.

Brown has played in all eight games thus far for the Eagles, totaling 939 yards and five touchdowns on 60 receptions. 

The Eagles and Brown will be in action next on Sunday when they host the Dallas Cowboys inside Lincoln Financial Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:25 p.m. (EST). 

OCT 29 AJ BROWN TD Philadelphia Eagles receiver A.J. Brown has his second touchdown in Sunday's game against the Washington Commanders at FedEx Field.

It might not be as incredible as the one-handed grab he made in the first half, but Brown still managed to snag his second score while two defenders were on him.

OCT 26 HOLLYWOOD HURTS Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts made a rare public appearance with his longtime girlfriend, Bry Burrows, during Tuesday's TIME 100 Red Carpet Event.

Take a look:

A true professional like Hurts doesn't tend to talk openly about his personal and love life, which makes the recent appearance with Burrows a potential interesting step in the direction of something more serious. With a new five-year, $255 million contract extension, Hurts can certainly afford a fancy wedding ring if he and Burrows want to tie the knot.

The Eagles vist the Washington Commanders on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.

OCT 20 EAGLES RULE OUT TWO VS. DOLPHINS The Philadelphia Eagles have revealed their Friday injury report and provided some gameday injury designations for a two players.

As has been a theme this season, the Eagles' secondary is once again dealing with injuries. Philly has ruled out safety Reed Blankenship (ribs) and cornerback Bradley Roby (shoulder) for Sunday's game. Both didn't practice on Friday.

Luckily for Philly, cornerback Darius Slay logged a full practice and appears set to return against the Dolphins after missing Week 6's loss to the New York Jets.

OCT 16 LANE JOHNSON INJURY UPDATE Philadelphia Eagles star offensive tackle Lane Johnson suffered an ankle injury in the first quarter Sunday's 20-14 loss to the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium. He was eventually ruled out and never returned to the game.

However, the Eagles likely won't have to wait long for Johnson to return. Per NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, sources say that Johnson could be back "real soon." This comes after Ian Rapoport tweeted that the lateral ankle sprain Johnson suffered is not expected to be a long-term issue.

"Source on this earlier said don’t be surprised if Lane Johnson is back 'real soon,'" Garafolo tweeted. "So good news for the Eagles on this one for sure."

The Eagles host the Miami Dolphins in Week 7. And while it's unlikely that Johnson will ready for Sunday, there's currently positive signs surrounding his chances to return sooner rather than later.

OCT 15 LANE JOHNSON INJURED Philadelphia Eagles offensive tackle Lane Johnson went down with an ankle injury in the first quarter of Sunday's game against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium.

Johnson, who got caught under a pile of bodies after a short run from D'Andre Swift, was seen limping toward the locker room after a breif trip to the blue medical tent on the sideline. Jack Driscoll took his place at right tackle.

The Eagles have ruled Johnson as questionable to return.

OCT. 12 JON GRUDEN POTENTIALLY A CANDIDATE IN PITTSBURGH - Jon Gruden, who two years ago this month resigned from the NFL after revelations of his racist and homophobic emails, could be a candidate for a job with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Gruden, who was the Eagles' offensive coordinator on Ray Rhodes' staff 1995-97, is currently a consultant with the Saints.

But a long-time Steelers reporter thinks he could be in line for an active coaching role in Pittsburgh. The Steelers are disgruntled with their lackluster offense, putting offensive coordinator Matt Canada on the proverbial hot seat.

In a recent chat, long-time Steelers reporter Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette said “Way too early to speculate. But a good name would be Jon Gruden.”

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin worked for Gruden in Tampa Bay. In the wake of his forced resignation, Gruden is suing the NFL and commissioner Roger Goodell.

OCT 11 EAGLES INJURY REPORT The Philadelphia Eagles have released their Wednesday injury report ahead of Sunday's game against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium.

The Eagles have already been battling injuries to their secondary this season, and now there might be another to monitor. Philly star cornerback Darius Slay was listed as a DNP at Wednesday's practice due to a knee injury. His status will obviously be something to watch headed into Sunday.

OCT 5 EAGLES THURSDAY INJURY REPORT The Philadelphia Eagles have revealed their Thursday injury report ahead of Sunday's meeting with the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium.

Here's who's on the injured list:

OCT. 5 PARSONS PRAISES EAGLES' 'TUSH PUSH' - Dallas Cowboys' star defender Micah Parsons has taken a side in the debate surrounding the Philadelphia Eagles' "Tush Push" play, claiming that it'd be "sucker-ish" for the NFL to take any action to outright ban it.

“We just have to deal with it, we have to adjust, we have to prepare to stop it,” Parsons said on his Bleacher Report podcast. “It’s not up to the league to say, ‘Hey, just because you can’t stop it, we have to take it away.’ No, we have to get better, we have to get stronger up front and we have to stop it.”

In the wake of the Eagles' success with the play, which involves backfield blockers pushing Jalen Hurts across the goal line or first down marker, Parsons noted that the Cowboys were able to stop an imitated effort from the New England Patriots during Sunday's 38-3 victory. Parsons said that the power of the Philadelphia offensive line allows them to pull off perfect pushes.

"It’s all about who you have," Parsons said. The Eagles have the best o-line in the game, so yes it’s a cheat code, they’re unstoppable at it.”

Parsons and the Cowboys will have their first chance to stop Hurts' gambit on Nov. 5 when the teams do battle at Lincoln Financial Field.

OCT. 1 JURGENS INJURED - Philadelphia Eagles offensive guard Cam Jurgens is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Washington Commanders with a foot injury.

Jurgens was originally on the injury report with a groin injury during the week.

The Eagles trail the Commanders 17-10 in the third quarter.

SEPT 21 AILING EAGLES? The Philadelphia Eagles released their Thursday injury report ahead of Monday's matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium. Philly had 12 names on the report, highlighted by a few notables.

DeVonta Smith was a surprise addition as a limited participation with a hamstring/thigh but there's been no indication he's in danger of missing Monday's game. Friday's injury report will be telling.

SEPT 11: PETERS WORKOUT Jason Peters' reps recently used ESPN to announce his desire to keep playing, and the Eagles legend - at 41 years old - is now getting a workout with the Seattle Seahawks.

Peters played with the Dallas Cowboys last year, but he build his stellar reputation as a nine-time Pro Bowler in Philly. He is certainly viewed as the consummate pro as the Seahawks seek to find out how much gas is left in the tank.

AUG. 30 RECEIVERS JOIN PRACTICE SQUAD - Roseman wasted little time in bringing back a trio of receivers he had released a day earlier as the GM's practice squad begins to take shape.

Returning as practice squad players are Britain Covey, Greg Ward, and Devon Allen. 

The Eagles kept just four receivers on the 53-man roster - A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, Quez Watkins, and Olamide Zaccheaus. Adding the three others who were with the Eagles throughout training camp gives them the flexibility to elevate one or more of them to the game-day roster.

Each practice squad player is allowed to be elevated three times during a season before either being released or added to the 53-man roster. Teams can bring up as may as two players from the practice squad for game days.

AUG. 30 EX-EAGLES ON THE MOVE Three players who were released by the Eagles found new homes on other teams' practice squads - safety K'Von Wallace (Arizona Cardinals), offensive lineman Josh Sills (Indianapolis Colts), and tight Tyree Jackson (New York Giants).

Wallace and Sills are joining former Eagles assistants now head coaches with Wallace reuniting with his former defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon while Sills will do the same with former offensive coordinator Shane Steichen.

AUG. 30 HOWIE EXPLAINS TIGHT END TRADE - At 6-foot-5, 260 pounds and with 4.4 speed, Albert Okwuegbunam was too tempting for Eagles' GM Howie Roseman to pass up. "Physical ability,” Roseman said in explaining his team's trade to acquire the former Denver Bronco. "He’s got a huge wing span. He has really good lower body flexibility for a big guy.”

Okwuegbunam, 25, was a fourth-round pick (No. 118 overall) in 2020. But in Denver he only played 26 games (starting seven) in three seasons. Despite a seven-catch, 109-yard performance in the final preseason game, he wasn't going to make the Broncos' roster. The Eagles pounced, sending Denver a 2025 6th-round draft pick in exchange for Okwuegbunam and a 2025 7th-rounder.

“I think coach (Nick Sirianni) remarked, 'Not a lot of tight ends who have 100-yard receiving games in the preseason', and it was because he has a unique ability to uncover," Roseman said. "He has all the tools in his body.”

AUG 29 EAGLES ADD TE The Broncos have traded tight end Albert Okwuegbunamand a 2025 seventh-round pick to the Eagles for a 2025 sixth-round pick. Okwuegbunam was being showcased late in preseason in Denver - and was announced by the media as a cut ... but now Dallas Goedert has a new 6-5, 260-pound friend in the room.

AUG 29 EAGLES MAKE FINAL CUTS The Eagles waived running back Trey Sermon as one of their final notable cuts before Tuesday's deadline. 

Another notable is safety K'Von Wallace, a fourth-round pick from 2020

AUG 29 JOSEPH NGATA WAIVED The Philadelphia Eagles are waiving another receiver, with the latest being Joseph Ngata. The Eagles also cut, Britain Covey, Devon Allen and Greg Ward on Tuesday.

AUG. 29, 12:40 PM: There will be punter tryouts at the Eagles' Novacare Complex after the team released incumbent punter Arryn Siposs, per @RealDGunn. The Eagles brought in competition for Siposs earlier in camp, but Tyler Zentner didn't impress them enough to keep him around.

Now, they will look for someone else. Releasing Siposs not only leaves them in search of punter, but also a holder for Jake Elliott on field goals and PATs.

AUG 29, NOON: SEVEN WAIVED: Last year's punt returner, Britain Covey, was among those released as the Eagles begin the march to the 53 payers that must be on the roster by 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Covey was among a receiver group who were let go. Two others, Devon Allen and Greg Ward, were also released.

The Eagles also released defensive end Tarron Jackson, defensive back Josiah Scott, offensive lineman Julian Good-Jones, and tight end Brady Russell.

The Eagles still have four hours to make another 10 cuts to get to 53.

AUG 28 NOAH ELLIS WAIVED The Eagles are bidding farewell to a member of their defensive line room.

According to KPRC-2's Aaron Wilson, the Eagles are waiving defensive tackle Noah Ellis from injured reserve with an injury settlement.

Ellis was signed last year after going undrafted in the 2022 NFL Draft but never saw any game action in his lone season with the Eagles.

The 24-year-old will now look to find a new home before the start of his second NFL season.

AUG 27 SEVEN MOVES The Eagles have officially released guard Josh Andrews, tight end Dan Arnold, wideout Deon Cain, tackle Dennis Kelly, center Cameron Tom, and tackle Brett Toth, and have placed tackle Roderick Johnson on Injured Reserve.

AUG 26 IAN BOOK CUT The Philadelphia Eagles have solidified their quarterback room by cutting Ian Book on Saturday, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Book struggled this preseason, and with the emergence of rookie Tanner McKee, the third quarterback spot felt all but locked up.

Book, who has one career start and 135 career passing yards, could land back on Philly's practice squad if he clears waivers.

AUG 26 2 TE's CUT The Philadelphia Eagles are saying goodbye to two of their tight ends.

According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the Eagles are cutting Dan Arnold. The team is also moving on from fellow tight end Tyree Jackson.

Arnold, 28, spent the last two seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars, but signed with the Eagles back in May. However, the depth at tight end made Arnold's place on the roster obsolete.

Now, Arnold has a chance to catch on with a new team before the 53-man rosters are finalized on Tuesday.

AUG 20 MYLES JACK RETIRES The Philadelphia Eagles are losing a member of their roster.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Eagles linebacker Myles Jack is retiring from football.

Jack, who will turn 28 on Sept. 3, was a second-round pick (37th overall) of the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2016 out of UCLA. He has produced 100-plus tackles in four of his last five seasons, including last year with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He has three career interceptions and four fumble recoveries.

Jack signed with the Eagles on Aug. 6 to help add depth to the linebacker corps, but it appears that he will not be part of their plans.

AUG 19 SWEEPING MOVES The Eagles made a handful of roster moves following the preseason game against the Cleveland Browns, signing five players and moving on from five others. In are linebackers Tyreek Maddox-Williams and Quinton Bell and defensive tackles Robert Cooper, Caleb Sanders and Marvin Wilson.

In five corresponding moves, the Eagles "Waived/Injured'' receiver Tyrie Cleveland (neck and concussion), cornerback Zech McPhearson (Achilles injury), and defensive tackle Noah Elliss. They also cut cornerback Greedy Williams and punter Ty Zentner have been cut. Both of them played in each of the first two preseason games. 

The goodbye to McPhearson is one that will be felt. It occurs just days after Shaun Bradley was lost for the season with his injury during the preseason opener at Baltimore. An MRI confirmed that McPhearson will also be sidelined this season with that torn Achilles suffered during an 18-18 preseason tie with the Cleveland Browns on Thursday night.

McPhearson is the Eagles' top gunner on punt coverage and arguably their top backup cornerback behind Darius Slay, James Brandberry, and Avonte Maddox.

The versatile McPhearson spent the first two seasons of his career playing outside cornerback behind Slay and Steve Nelson during his rookie season and then Slay and Bradberry during the Eagles' run to Super Bowl LVII in 2022-23.
