  15 months after having brain surgery, Eagles defensive tackle Mike Patterson has been activated to play, and could see time Monday night against the New Orleans SaintsNFL.com is reporting. Patterson who was diagnosed with brain abnormalities almost 16 months ago, has looked good in practice according to head coach Andy Reid. “He did a good job. He moved around well and there were no symptoms (from the) surgery he had with his head and brain,” coach Andy Reid said after Saturday’s practice. “He’s felt good. He’s felt good all the way through workouts and then once he came out here he felt good. Reid said he was unsure how much Patterson would contribute. “I think you would probably monitor how many snaps he plays,” Reid said. “You’re not going to put him in there and have him go the whole game, which our guys don’t do anyway.” Patterson suffered a seizure in August 2011, and was then diagnosed with  cerebral arteriovenous malformation. Not only is it good to see Patterson back for health reasons, but when healthy can probably be the Eagles best interior lineman.   Check out other great articles at BlackSportsOnline. var switchTo5x=true; stLight.options({publisher:''});

Andy Reid’s Days Are Numbered In Philly

A long time ago, Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie should have parted ways with embattled coach Andy Reid. Eagles-Saints Live Blog, First Half

A Monday night game between two sub .500 teams that is mostly of interest to the football world inasmuch as it presents the opportunity for Michael Vick to be benched if he struggles against New Orleans’ historically putrid defense.
