There have been some rumblings that the Eagles could bring in veteran John Henderson and his 29 career sacks. Henderson was cut by the Jaguars after the draft. But while on paper the move makes some sense at a generous 335 pounds, 'Big John' would give the line some bulk the Eagles don't appear interested. They have not had any contact with the free agent, according to an NFL source. Part of the reason is the Birds' high hopes for 2008 second-round pick Trevor Laws. "Trevor Laws is doing a great job. He's in great shape right now," general manager Howie Roseman said prior to the draft. "He's in here every day. I think he's going to do a great job for us [as a pass rusher]."
