Did I read this right? Clarke Judge of CBSSports.com is reporting that a source close to the Birds is saying that the team is "indifferent" towards the star cornerback. Granted, Nnamdi is going to be 30 and usually there is a dip in his performance but didn't we say the same thing about Asante? Nnamdi's work ethic and devotion to his craft are second to none. I can't think of another cornerback (Champ Bailey maybe) who can thrive after hitting 30. The reasons cited by Judge are that Nnamdi's price will be too high (probable) and he is only a press cornerback who can play the right side. Excuse me, what? Don't we need a press guy? Isn't that what we do? We press and run, right? Am I wrong? I'm all about being cheap and saving money when it's appropriate. Don't overpay, right?
