The look into the future will most likely continue this week on MNF as LeSean McCoy is still in stage 1 of his recovery from a concussion. Filling in will be Bryce Brown the rookie who in limited action has shown he is worthy of the start. Brown who has gained over 4 yards a carry should get the majority if not all of McCoy’s workload will get the chance to showcase his talent for increased playing time next season. Vick has been held out all week recovering from a concussion making Foles Monday nights likely starter. Foles starting debut needs to be quickly forgotten by everyone in the Eagle fan base. Behind the make-shift offensive line, Foles made plenty of poor decisions and looked like a rookie behind a terrible offensive line. It can’t get much worse so expect a better game from Foles. The Eagles and Carolina game on MNF certainly is not what the league planned when they scheduled. Both teams are at the bottom of their divisions both have quarterback issues. Cam Newton has bee...

NFL Rumors: Philadelphia Eagles To Start Nick Foles And Bryce Brown Over Michael Vick And LeSean McCoy

The Philadelphia Eagles have had one of the more disappointing season in 2012, and now they are adding insult to injury. Actually, they may be more accurately adding injury to insult. On Monday Night Football, the Eagles will be forced to turn to a pair of back up players on offense while they prepare to battle the Carolina Panthers. We already pretty much knew that starting quarterback...

Week 12 Rush Defense: What Can Brown Do For You?

With the bye weeks finally behind us, now all you have to worry about are injuries.  Unfortunately, there are quite a few of those which makes week 12 an interesting one, especially when looking at the waiver wire. Remember Beanie Wells?  Although he wasn’t all that fantastic before his injury this year, he still has enormous potential and The Arizona Cardinals certainly know...

A Philadelphia Eagles Thanksgiving: What We Can Be Thankful For

It’s true that this 2012 Philadelphia Eagles team has played more like the prey, rather than birds of prey, but in the spirit of Thanksgiving I thought it would be better to take a look at the positive side of things. There hasn’t been much to cheer about this season, unfortunately.  And, we’re facing a future with the most uncertainty since after the 1998 season.  However...

NFL coaches on the hot seat, Vol. I, 2012 edition

After yesterday's Thanksgiving day debacles, it's safe to assume some coaches are on the proverbial hot seat. Congratulations Jason Garrett of the Dallas Cowboys, you fit that description.I wrote a few weeks ago that the Cowboys could still make the playoffs. They needed to win every "winnable" game and hope the NY Giants faltered down the stretch. The Cowboys now...

Jeff Lurie Should Fire Andy Reid Now if He Insists on Going Back to Vick

Ever since Michael Vick went down with his concussion, I’ve been pounding the drum that Nick Foles should remain the Eagles’ starting QB for the rest of the season, regardless of how he or the team performs. I even went so far as to say that Andy Reid would be selfish not do so. Before all the Vick lovers come crying, this is not about him.  My reasoning for starting Foles is...

Philadelphia Eagles: Week 12 NFL Power Rankings (#27)

Last week: 21 (-6) Record: 3-7 The Phillies have won more recently than the Eagles. The Eagles’ 3 wins this season have come by a combined 4 points. They’ve now lost 6 games in a row and appear to have completely quit on Andy Reid. Last week I said that Andy Reid be brought back if Foles impressed, but Foles did the exact opposite of impressing last week, going 21 of 46 for 204...
