PLAYERS: Andy Reid
TEAMS: Philadelphia Eagles
Coach Andy Reid announced that King Dunlap will replace Demetress Bell as the first-team left tackle. Bell was signed after All-Pro Jason Peters ruptured his Achilles tendon in March. Reid called it a "scheduled switch," and said it's not a reflection of the way Bell has been playing in training camp and the first preseason game. "King's been with us for a while and he deserves that opportunity," Reid said. "Demetress has done a good job. He's worked hard, so he's doing fine. But I just want to make sure. I want to make sure everybody has their shot there." Offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg said Bell is on a learning curve having signed as a free agent from Buffalo. "Any time you are in a new system, there is quite a bit of learning to do," Mornhinweg said Monday. "There are two things that come right to the front of my mind, and that is the terminology and the details in terms of how exactly we want to get...

Andy Reid – Eagles Coach for Life?

And just like that, we may have a bit controversy in Eagles camp. The Eagles had been having a quiet training camp contract wise. The Eagles did a great job of signing their players and taking care of things so that when they got to camp this year there wouldn’t be any distractions. Coming off of a week in which Andy Reid buried his eldest son and then returned to the team the...

The Eagles first unit has inspired DOOM and GLOOM predictions, calm down it’s EARLY!

The 2012-13 Eagles season has begun like nearly every other season, with an uninspiring pre-season game. The aftermath of Thursday’s game I am finding to be quite amusing. (That would be the callers to talk radio already predicting DOOM). Not that the Eagles first-string performance was amusing offensively or defensively but what were you expecting? Offensively, the 6 plays...

Week Two recap of Hard Knocks: Joe Philbin is dealing with issue after issue. First, it was the death of Andy Reid’s son and then it was Chad Johnson allegedly head-butting his wife. For us, the real drama was whether Lauren Tannehill would finally be in a bikini on South Beach. No dice. However, there was a moneyshot of Lauren and Jake Long’s wife, Jackie, at the Dolphins first...
