NFL Trade Rumors:
Tim MacManus of Birds 24/7 expects to see the Eagles to find another tight end at some point during the offseason.
MacManus believes that it’s time to find a “complement/eventual replacement” for Brent Celek and mentions that the Eagles “came away from the Senior Bowl impressed with Rice tight end Vance McDonald.”
Celek, 28, signed an eight-year deal worth $34.01 million back in 2009. He still has another four years left on this deal with base salaries of $3.256 million (2014), $4 million (2015), $4.725 million (2016) and $4.925 million (2017) coming his way.
Clay Harbor has had much of an impact in the Eagles’ offense and it’s hard to say Evan Moore is ever going to be a difference-maker.
There are some options in the free agent market like Jared Cook, Dustin Keller, Brandon Myers and Anthony Fasano, but head coach Chip Kelly may want to bring in some young talent that he can mold in the coming years versus paying market price for a veteran.

According to CSNPhilly.com, Eagles head coach Chip Kelly won’t waste his time in reaching out to quarterback Dennis Dixon next week. It doesn’t look like the quarterback Kelly needs is on his roster and he’s already familiar with Dixon from their days together at Oregon. Nobody on the current roster fits that description, but all signs point to Kelly having his man by next...
NewsTags: Michael VickPhiladelphia EaglesOn Wednesday, John Gonzalez of CSNPhilly.com wrote a column where he presented a case for the Philadelphia Eagles to retain quarterback Michael Vick, and give him one more shot as the team’s starting quarterback.
In the name of sanity, I can’t imagine why the Eagles, Gonzalez, or anyone capable of rational...
1. Quarterback The Philadelphia Eagles are expected to end the Michael Vick era this offseason. And while Nick Foles may be worth developing, he isn’t an immediate answer to their issues at quarterback. If they’re interested in keeping Foles, then signing a veteran makes the most sense. But if the new regime isn’t interested in Foles, Geno Smith may be a first-round option...
Rich Hofmann of the Philadelphia Daily News assesses the Eagles current roster as they begin the process of switching to a 3-4 base defense next year. According to Hofmann, “the transformation will take 2 years, minimum.”
Hofmann believes they’ll have to find an upgrade at defensive tackle, another 3-4 defensive end to play opposite of Fletcher Cox, “at least” one new...

Wing Bowl, the annual day of chicken wing-eating gluttony in Philadelphia, happened this morning at the Wells Fargo Center. James ‘The Bear’ McDonald of Granby, Conn. won the 21st edition of the event by eating 287 wings, knocking out hometown favorite Jonathan Super Squibb. As always, the real show was in the seats of the sold-out arena, where fans began drinking as early as...
Watching the Philadelphia Eagles play football last season must not have been brutal enough.
Zach Berman (@ZBerm) of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports that the Eagles will be raising ticket prices for the first time since 2009.
The ticket pricing will be raised from the $70-95 range to about $75-105.
Berman also noted that the Eagles ranked 11th in ticket pricing in the NFL last...
In the unending speculation about who will be under center for the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2013 season, several names have been tossed around. Is Mike Vick more likely to stay with the team in Chip Kelly’s spread offense? Will Coach Kelly like what he sees in Nick Foles’ progress?
Who knows, but it sounds like one thing Kelly will want to do is reunite with a...
