Philadelphia Eagles right tackle Shawn Andrews will miss the season opener against the Carolina Panthers because of a sore back. The two-time Pro Bowl selection had his balky back flare up at practice on Wednesday. He did not practice Thursday or Friday. Andrews missed the final 14 regular-season games and the entire postseason last year after he suffered a herniated disk in Week 2. He also sat out this year's entire preseason and did not start practicing until the last week of August.
