PLAYERS: Andy Reid
TEAMS: Philadelphia Eagles
LeSean McCoy returned to practice on Friday on a partial basis, Zach Berman of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. He had been suffering from the flu and a chest cold, and he still has a cough. But McCoy is expected to play Sunday against the Cowboys. “He’s getting there," coach Andy Reid said. "He looked pretty good today, actually. Looked OK. Still easing him back in." McCoy said he felt "a little woozy" and "lost a little bit of weight" after sitting in bed during the week. But once he's out there on Sunday, he expects to be fine. Reid said that McCoy is far enough along in the season that conditioning is not an issue. Source: The Redzone Attached Thumbnails

Andy Reid Used To Be a Man With a Plan

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid used to be the man with a plan.  That was his reputation from the day he interviewed with Jeff Lurie and Joe Banner about the Eagles’ vacant head coaching position in 1999. Reid was a relative unknown at the time because he was just a quarterbacks coach in Green Bay.  However, Lurie and Banner noted how impressive he was during the interview...

If Andy Reid is Fired, Should the Eagles Rebuild or Maximize Current Roster?

The notion that Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid will be fired at the end of this season is gaining momentum.  Barring a miraculous turnaround, that’s exactly what will happen come January. Assuming that’s the case, the next question will obviously be: Who’s our next head coach? The two hot names out there right now being mentioned as potential replacements are Sean...

Reid struggling to meet expectations

He has more wins than any other head coach in franchise history. Only three others in NFL annals have ever reached 100 career victories as quickly. He is currently the league's longest-tenured head coach with one team at 14 seasons, only two of which have ended with a losing record. And along the way, the Philadelphia Eagles reached five NFC Championship games, one Super Bowl...

The speculation out of Philadelphia is if Andy Reid is relieved of his head coaching duties for the reeling Eagles at season's end, Jon Gruden possibly could be his replacement.

Post Andy Reid Era: To Rebuild or Retool?

At this point, it's almost a foregone conclusion that Andy Reid will be relieved of his duties as head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles at season's end.  And unless the Mayan prophecy comes true next month, that's exactly what will happen come January. Although, I will throw out the disclaimer that this season is technically not over.  Theoretically, the Eagles could...

From Day 1, Andy Reid's reputation has been as a man with a plan.  He was the guy in control and knew what to do for any situation that arose. Reid was a relative unknown at the time he was hired in 1999 because he was just a quarterbacks coach in Green Bay.  However, Jeff Lurie and Joe Banner noted how impressive he was during the interview process because of how organized...

If the Chargers part with general manager A.J. Smith and coach Norv Turner, and the Eagles part ways with Reid, many believe Reid would have considerable interest in the possibility of relocation to San Diego, Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports. NFL Rumors: Will Losing Coach Of Eagles Vs. Cowboys Game Be Fired On Monday?

When the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, there will be a lot at stake for both teams. At a disappointing 3-5 record, both teams trail the New York Giants in the NFC East by 2.5 games at the midway point in the 2012 NFL season. With both teams having Super Bowl aspirations entering this year, things have not gone at all according to plan. With that being...

According to Howard Eskin of 94 WIP Radio in Philly, Monday Night Football analyst Jon Gruden could be headed to Philadelphia to become the Eagles’ next head coach if they decide to fire Andy Reid at the end of the season. I can’t imagine the Eagles keeping Reid around after another highly disappointing season. I think the Eagles would be a good fit for Gruden, who would love...
