The Philadelphia Eagles announced that they have re-signed free agent offensive tackle King Dunlap to a one-year contract. Financial terms were not disclosed. A 2008 seventh round pick out of Auburn, the 6-foot-9, 330-pound Dunlap spent his rookie season on injured reserve and has started seven of 38 games over the last three seasons, including a career-high five games in 2010. Dunlap has the ability to play either left or right tackle and, with the trade of Winston Justice to the Indianapolis Colts, will likely be the top backup behind starters Jason Peters and Todd Herremans.

Philadelphia Eagles: Jason Peters’ Achilles Stomps on Rosey Offseason

The Philadelphia Eagles has a catastrophic season in 2011.  The team entered the season with more hype than any in Eagles history, even more than in 2004 with Terrell Owens’ arrival. After such a colossal failure, the team has handled the road to 2012 with such aplomb that fans seem to have already put last year’s 4-8 start behind them.  Everyone is pleased with the care shownâ€...

Philadelphia Eagles left tackle Jason Peters could be lost for the season with a ruptured left Achilles tendon. Peters, the team's best offensive lineman, will undergo surgery next week. Recovery time for such an injury typical ranges from nine to 12 months. The Eagles said Peters was hurt during a running session in Texas earlier this week. The 6-foot-4, 340-pound Peters...

Jason Peters Ruptures his Achilles Tendon

Left Tackle Jason Peters potentially suffered a career ending injury rupturing his Achilles Tendon while working out in his home in Texas. This will definitely hurt the Eagles in large part because he was our best offensive lineman, and was a huge down the field run blocker clearing wholes and paving the way for running back LeSean McCoy. With Peters being out, the Eagles are going...

Lions Aren't Interested In Trading For Eagles CB Asante Samuel

The Lions arenÂ’t interested in CB Asante Samuel, league sources said Thursday. The Titans do have some interest, but no deal is imminent. The Eagles could end up taking a fourth-round draft pick for Samuel, who has a cap figure of over $8 million and is part of a crowded secondary. His contract, age (31) and difficulties defending against the run are limiting his trade market, according...

Donovan McNabb Return to the Eagles?

Believe it or not, the question was proposed to Eagles head coach Andy Reid at the NFL owners meetings yesterday. Here’s how Reid responded: “I’m surprised by the fact that he didn’t have the success after leaving Philly. I wasn’t there. I’m not sure how that worked. I still felt when he left here that he had 2 or 3 years of great football. It didn’t work out that way...

Titans unwilling to give up a 3rd round pick for Asante Samuel

It looks like the reason the Tennessee Titans aren’t as interested in trading for Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Asante Samuel as people had thought, is because they aren’t willing to give up a third round pick in exchange for him. According to Peter King of SI.com, the only way the Titans will trade for Samuel is if the asking price is a fourth round pick or less. Right now...

Demetrius Bell visiting the Steelers then the Eagles

Free agent offensive tackle Demetrius Bell is visiting the Pittsburgh Steelers on Friday and will head to Philadelphia this weekend to spend some time with the Eagles as well. The Steelers could use an upgrade at the tackle position and the Eagles need a player to fill in for Jason Peters now that it was reported today that he ruptured his Achilles while working out.  No one knows...

Eagles interested in safety Yeremiah Bell

According to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, the Philadelphia Eagles are showing some interest in free agent safety Yeremiah Bell who was released by the Miami Dolphins just a few weeks ago. Even though the Eagles are interested, Bell and the Dolphins haven’t ruled out a possible return. The Eagles are certainly looking for help at the safety position this offseason and a savvy...
