The Eagles reportedly were trying to trade quarterback Mike Kafka but were apparently unable to find a partner so they released him according to Geoff Mosher of CSNPhilly.com.

"In the end, we had to make the difficult decision to let Mike Kafka go," Eagles coach Andy Reid said. "Mike is a class act, a student of the game and a great person and I think will have no problem finding a job in the NFL very soon.
