During an appearance on Inside the Locker Room with Rick “Doc” Walker  and Brian Mitchell of ESPN 980, Walker asked Howard Eskin of WIP in Philly why the Eagles never pursued Jon Gruden. “The Eagles internally felt Jon was too high maintenance.  They looked at the way it ended for him in Tampa…….They thought he’d be too high maintenance,” said Eskin. Gruden seems like a great guy, but I get the feeling he comes with a lot of baggage.  Most NFL coaches are arrogant and know-it-all’s and I’m sure he’s the same way.     Need NFL Tickets? var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ? _CI.counter + 1 : 1; document.write(''); script.type = 'text/javascript'; var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ? _CI.c

  • Give me a break! BS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
  • How about he hasn't won anything on his own, when he was with the Raiders they had average to good teams, but still could not win the SB, his only win came when he took over a already built team that TDungy had put together, after that he preceded to tear the team apart and they never came close to winning again. Gruden is great for entertainment but a top coach to me is very, very debatable, look at how many QBs he went through in TB before they got tired of him and his Chucky alter ego.
  • Point well taken! But it has been a lot years since then and with him experiencing and the knolwedge of the game one becomes more mature and understands what it takes today to win!

I will bet you dollar to donuts that Kelly will fail big time! the NFL is altogether a different aminal from College! $$$$$
    rule and so on.

The Radiers were a complete mess before Gruden and Tampa you still have to coach its not going to run it self!
