Eagles Rumors: Sean Jones signed to replace Dawkins

According to?Philly.com, the Eagles have signed S Sean Jones to a 1-year deal. It is not clear whether or not he will play FS or SS as he has not yet addressed the media.?The fact that it is a one-year deal gives me some pause as that is strange for a 27-year old. My guess is that he wants to re-establish himself as the player he was in 2006 (when Sports Illustrated had him on their All-Pro team) and get a much bigger deal in 2010. From the Eagles perspective, they probably see him as a 1-year stop gap to Quintin Demps.?For 2009, I think this is a great move, and even though the Eagles have looked like royal jackasses with the Dawkins and Thomas situations, I really like the 2 moves they have made.?I think this is the best solution we could have hoped for.
