Looks like the Eagles have found a replacement for Lito Sheppard. Several outlets are reporting that Shawn Springs is scheduled to visit, and there is a press conference scheduled for tomorrow, presumably to announce his signing. Springs was released by the Redskins to help with the Albert Haynesworth and DeAngelo Hall signings. He would likely be the 4th corner on the team behind Samuel, Brown and Hanson. I doubt this puts Sheldon Brown on the market, as some have speculated, because the Eagles value the corner position so much, and need depth at the position. But, Springs was rated as the 25th best corner in the league by Scouts Inc. prior to last season, so he seems to have the talent to be more than a 4th corner. Maybe a pre-cursor to a Brown move to Safety? Or maybe just a depth move.
