Eagles signed FB/TE Emil Igwenagu off their practice squad. Igwenagu is a H-back type that got a lot of reps during training camp when Brent Celek was sidelined by a sprained knee. Now he’ll back up starter Clay Harbor with Celek (concussion) ruled out of Thursday’s game against the Bengals. This could be an interesting signing, Igwenagu is a very athletic kid, and could be a good player for the new Eagles. Nick Foles looked good last week and it could be a huge factor in Emil’s growth.  We shall see if he is active this week.

Where will Michael Vick end up in 2013?

Mike Vick is a mystery to most football fans. When he hit the field three years ago as a beneficiary of a Kevin Kolb injury, he was thrust into the spotlight and performed like everyone thought he would. Like his potential dictated when the Atlanta Falcons took him in the first round. That was so many years and so many animal abuse trials ago and he isn't the young man or transcendent...

Eagles TE Brent Celek Sustains Concussion

Add Brent Celek to the list of Philadelphia Eagles starters, also including Michael Vick and LeSean McCoy, dealing with concussions. The tight end sustained a head injury on the first play from scrimmage during yesterday’s 23-21 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, reports Zach Berman of the Philadelphia Inquirer. "For him to go out, I'll tell you it was a pretty...

Jeremy Maclin Questionable For Week 15

Philadelphia receiver Jeremy Maclin, who caught nine passes for 104 yards and the game-winning touchdown on 13 targets Sunday against the Buccaneers, is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against Cincinnati.Fantasy Spin:Maclin has struggled with injuries and ineffectiveness all season so it's going to be difficult to trust him on four days against the Bengals, but...

Some Thoughts After The Eagles Win Against The Bucs

Going into Sunday’s game at Tampa Bay, there were two things I wanted to see out of the Eagles. First and foremost was improvement out of Nick Foles. The second was improvement from the defense. Win or lose, I didn’t care too much as long as I saw those things. Let’s start with Foles. Week by week, he is making positive strides. With the announcement that Michael Vick...

Jeremy Maclin was listed as limited with a groin injury on Monday after hurting it following the Philadelphia Eagles’ comeback win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, and now we know the cause of the injury. Per Tim McManus, Maclin told reporters on Tuesday that his groin was hurt when cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha jumped on him to celebrate the winning touchdown he caught on...

The Philadelphia Eagles and 5 Regular Season Collapses in the NFL

It is embarrassing.  Whether you are the team with history on your side, or an upstart looking to make history.  It is embarrassing.  Losing consecutive games and not living up to the potential. No one is immune to it.  Every franchise has felt its share of buckling at the knees.  The difference is some of the franchises learn how to right the ship.  Others get caught up in...

Injury SPIN: McCoy Ruled Out for Week 15

Bryce Brown it is once again. In our estimation it would be a mistake to play Lesean McCoy at all from here on out. The Eagles season is over and mercifully for Eagles fans the Andy Reid era is drawing to a close as well. Barring an injury it's clear that we won't see Michael Vick on the field and reading between the lines in Reid's recent comments it seems the same...

NFL Rumors: LeSean McCoy Out When Philadelphia Eagles Play Cincinnati Bengals On Thursday Night

While some may have held out hope that LeSean McCoy would be able to return to the Philadelphia Eagles in time for Thursday night’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals after being cleared to practice, it is not going to happen for the star running back, as his concussion symptoms are not completely gone. McCoy has passed his baseline test that will allow him to return to the practice...

Eagles Recap Plus a Look Ahead to Nick Foles' Biggest Test

Photo: David Maialetti The Philadelphia Eagles now have a more recent win than the Phillies, woohoo!  After a long eight-game slide, the hometown birds are finally back in the W column by beating the playoff hopeful Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Rookie QB Nick Foles is certainly impressing everyone from fans, to teammates, to coaches.  He looked like a poised veteran when he threw the...

Eagles QB Michael Vick, RB LeSean McCoy Pass Baseline Test

Michael Vick and LeSean McCoy have passed concussion tests and could return to practice with the Eagles as early as Tuesday. Vick has missed the last four games and McCoy the last three. Rookies Nick Foles and Bryce Brown have filled in at quarterback and running back, respectively. Larry Fitzgerald Would Look Great In Eagles Green

This is going to sound insane, unrealistic and probably nothing more than a pipe dream. The Philadelphia Eagles should go all out to acquire the services of Arizona Cardinals superstar wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald. There are two things wrong with this idea that is going to jump out in everyone’s mind after reading that last sentence. One, the Cardinals will not be interested...
