The Philadelphia Eagles lost starting FB Leonard Weaver for the season yesterday after he tore his anterior cruciate ligament in the game against the Green Bay Packers. Weaver’s injury was gruesome to watch on the television replays. The human leg isn’t meant to move that way. So the Philadelphia Eagles are scrambling to fill their need at fullback. Former New York Jets RB Jason Davis Tweeted that he is on his way to Philadelphia for a workout with the Eagles. Another fullback who is reportedly on his way to Philly is Owen Schmitt. Schmitt was released by the Seattle Seahawks this preseason. One can only hope that Schmitt keeps his helmet on during his workout.
