According to Geoff Mosher of CSN Philly, the Eagles should consider parting ways with a number of defensive players like Nnamdi Asomugha, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, and DT Cullen Jenkins. Mosher adds that he wouldn’t even consider keeping Asomugha if he lowered his salary to $3 million next season. Mosher still believes Asomugha can play in the NFL, but seems to think that the Eagles are in need of a “clean slate.” Asomugha, 32, has been terrible since arriving in Philadelphia a few years ago, but should be able to find interest from other NFL teams, if he does become available. Rodgers-Cromartie will be an unrestricted free agent, so the Eagles would essentially be passing on him and collecting a compensatory pick next offseason. He, like Asomugha, never lived up to expectations after the Eagles dealt Kevin Kolb to Arizona in return for him and second-round pick. At 26, he’ll almost certainly find interest on the open market. Jenkins, 32, first year with the Eagles was pretty productive, but he battled through some injuries this season, which was most likely the reason for his dip in production. Mosher writes that “his welcome here is worn out,” despite the fact that they’re moving to a 3-4 base defense, which appears to be a better fit for his skill set. He has three years remaining on his current deal and is set to make $4.5 million in 2013. He has a $1 million roster bonus that is due in March, so a decision regarding his future with the team could be coming in the next few weeks.   The post Eagles To Part Ways With Asomugha, Rodgers-Cromartie and Jenkins? appeared first on NFL Trade Rumors -.
