The Philadelphia Eagles are considering switching starting quarterbacks from Mike Vick to Nick Foles (Credit: AP Photo) The Philadelphia Eagles suffered their third straight loss on Sunday as they fell 30-17 to the Atlanta Falcons. As quarterback Mike Vick failed to lead his team to a victory again, some have begun to question whether or not he should be starting. According to ProFootballTalk.com, Andy Reid has decided to start rookie quarterback Nick Foles on Monday against the New Orleans Saints. Howard Eskin, the sideline reporter for the Eagles’ radio broadcasts, reports that the team likely will switch from Vick to rookie Nick Foles. Per Eskin, the decision came after coach Andy Reid met with coaches after the Week Eight loss to discuss the quarterback situation. Some believe Reid is fighting for his coaching life in Philadelphia and a switch to rookie quarterback Nick Foles might guarantee he is fired at the end of the season. The Eagles have a tough road ahead of them and one has to wonder if the team will try to trade Vick before Thursday’s deadline.
