On Sunday, Eagles rookies and selected veterans reported to training camp. Here is the rest of the training camp schedule up in Lehigh. As if the first day isn't news wortyh enough, the Eagles reported some bad news.
Andy Reid announced the defensive tackle Mike Patterson will not participate in this year's training camp. Patterson had offseason brain (AVM) surgery. Patterson will be put on the non-football injury list and is out indefinitely.
The Eagles also announced a trade today. The Eagles have traded cornerback D.J. Johnson to the Indianapolis Colts for defensive tackle Ollie Ogbu.
They also signed Kee-ayre Griffin, a CB from Temple University. For more Eagles training camp news, follow us on twitter @BuzzonBroad

Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Mike Patterson has been ruled out of training camp this summer and possibly longer because the incision where he had brain surgery in January hasn’t fully healed.
Patterson was diagnosed with a brain malformation last August after he suffered a seizure during a training camp practice. The 28-year-old defensive tackle underwent surgery in January...
As the twelfth pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, defensive tackle Fletcher Cox is being counted on to contribute to the Philadelphia Eagles’ ‘wide nine’ defense fairly early in his career.
With the news today coming out of training camp concerning Mike Patterson, incumbent starter at tackle, Cox’s contributions may need to come earlier.
Patterson, the first round pick...
Michael Vick thinks the Philadelphia Eagles are going to start a dynasty. So, we've gone from Dream Team to Dynasty in two seasons. After all, Lebron already tried that.Maybe Mr. Vick should recognize the Eagles haven't won a playoff game in the two seasons he'...
Like many members of the Eagles squad, this past week I squeezed in some last moments of relaxation before the start of training camp. For the first time ever, my laptop wasn’t opened for almost a full week. I didn’t check Google Reader for Eagles news. I was blissfully unaware of most things happening in the world.
But somehow, two bits of news still made their way to me...

The team acquired DT Ollie Ogbu via a trade with the Indianapolis Colts in exchange for CB D.J. Johnson. The Birds also and signed free agents WR Anthony “Tiger” Jones and CB Kee-ayre Griffin.

Apologies to classic composer Modest Mussorgsky and the band Emerson, Lake and Palmer... but I stole their theme to justify posting these random photos of recent action at Eagles' training camp:Andy Reid oversees practice in the afternoon at Lehigh... I like the new Hulk Hogan look... Andy's down to about 260...Howard Mudd (OL coach) is back with a new and improved Mudd...
How much will it cost to extend offensive lineman T.J. Lang? Plenty. Evan Mathis of the Philadelphia Eagles signed a five-year contract worth just over $25 million in March. The deal included a $5 million bonus. While the 30-year-old Mathis played extremely well in 2011, he’s almost six years older than Lang and not nearly [...]
