Eagles v. New York Jets 6:35 pm TV: 6ABC Radio: WIP 94 FM and 610 AM The New York Jets are 0-3 in preseason action and, in case you haven’t heard, have yet to score a touchdown. The full-scale circus that has followed the Jets this year will be toned down a bit by the fact that Tim Tebow will not be playing in Thursday night’s game. I see the sadness on your face even as I write this. The Eagles won’t be playing their starters so why bother to watch this game? In case you’ve forgotten, all NFL teams must have their rosters to 53 by Friday evening. While there has already been some movement on Philadelphia’s roster (more below), tonight will secure the futures of several men on this squad, for better or for worse. Trent Edwards will pay three quarters, so if he has a solid showing it will serve to cement his future with the Eagles organization versus Mike Kafka’s. At safety, last year’s 2nd-round pick from Temple, safety Jaiquawn Jarrett, has not done anything to help his future wit...

Tebow focused on TDs, not QB stats

Tim Tebow's intangibles won't be found in the box score. Find out why New York's Wildcat quarterback isn't concerned about his low completion percentage, but intent on leading the Jets into the end zone.

Meteorologist Tebows during Hurricane Isaac

I don't know why or when "reporter getting pummeled in the middle of a hurricane" became a thing, but Jim Cantore is the Joe Montana of the craft. As he stands in the streets of New Orleans with Hurricane Isaac coming through, Cantore takes a moment to drop to one knee and say, "for whatever it's worth, I hope I'm making Tebow proud." Theismann: Sanchez is too nice to Tebow

Former Redskins quarterback Joe Theismann made it clear he is tired of Mark Sanchez being a nice guy when it comes to Tim Tebow's presence on the New York Jets. Theismann told WFAN yesterday that it's time for Sanchez to take a stand for himself and stop singing Kumbaya with his backup quarterback. "This strikes at the heart of Mark Sanchez's pride,"...

Jets hoping Sanchez-Tebow is a winning combination

All eyes have been on the New York Jets. Tim Tebow, Mark Sanchez and Rex Ryan have been in the headlines for months. After all, the NFL's most talked-about bunch is fascinating, entertaining and controversial. Now, the Jets will find out if that translates into a winning combination. ''It's a big year for all of us,'' Sanchez said. ''We're all...

Tim Tebow and Mark Sanchez head up leadership camp for the Jets

There is never a dull moment with the New York Jets, right? I know, you are so over the Jets with all their coverage from ESPN. Probably tired of us bringing them up as well, right? Tough. The latest news about the team that has yet to score a touchdown in the preseason is that [...]

Jacksonville Jaguars: Biggest Home Game of the Year

The Jaguars have had two big problems over the last few seasons, starting quarterback and putting people in the seats. The Jaguars' attendance has been horrible and the quarterback play even worse. They had a chance to attain a quarterback that made the playoffs last season and is arguably the most popular athlete in the history of the state of Florida. Unfortunately, the Jaguars...

Woody Johnson can’t get enough of Tim Tebow

A while ago, Joe Namath said that the Jets were more interested in making headlines than winning football games. As if there needed to be any more proof as to why Namath was right… enter team owner Woody Johnson. Johnson reportedly told the New York Daily News that you can “never have enough Tebow”. Johnson was asked if he felt like the Jets preseason offensive struggles would...

New York Jets: Top 10 Reasons They Haven't Scored a Touchdown

It is no secret that the New York Jets' offense is struggling to score after three preseason games. Both first string and second sting quarterbacks, Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow, are inspiring a cacophony of boos from fans.Last week's boos from New Jersey's Met Life Stadium were so loud you could hear them across the river in New York City.Imagine you are on a certain...

New York Jets Preview

Hey, so my name is Michael and I’ll be giving my take on the Jets. With the season just around the corner I figured now would be a good time to preview the season. Just so we’re clear I’m not a Jets fan. The Jets would go undefeated this year if they let Tim Tebow start. Since, you already know, all he does is win! Ask him to throw a ten yard pass and he’ll laugh at you...

New York Jets Will Not Be a Laughingstock After Dismal Preseason

The New York Jets finally scored a touchdown in their fourth and last preseason game. After three poor offensive outings it looked as though the Jets may have to rely on defensive fumble recoveries or pick-sixes to put points on the board. However, the third-string offense did make it in to the end zone.Quarterback Greg McElroy threw a six-yard pass to running back Terrence Ganaway...

Happy Hour – AFC East Preview

The New England Patriots have run the AFC East for what seems like an eternity. The New York Jets appeared ready to challenge their supremacy, but the circus turned into a freak show last year. Things became even more ridiculous for the Jets this off-season with the addition of Tim Tebow. Now don’t get me [...]

Positives from the New York Jets’ TD-Less Preseason

The New York Jets have gotten plenty of attention this preseason, but none of it has been particularly positive. Everybody has heard about the team’s struggles to reach the endzone in their first three fake games, which came off the heels of an ESPN love fest at training camp in Cortland that could have either distracted the team or bloated their heads. Fortunately, it looks like...

McElroy throws Jets' only preseason TD

Mark Sanchez or Tim Tebow? How about Greg McElroy. McElroy became the first quarterback to lead the New York Jets into the end zone this preseason in a 28-10 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday night. Sanchez, Tebow and most of the Jets starters didn't play in this battle between backups and guys fighting for roster spots. Michael Vick and all of Philadelphia's...
