According to Jeff McLane of Philly.com, the Eagles plan on bringing in Alabama cornerback Dee Millner, Florida State quarterback E.J. Manuel and Utah defensive tackle Star Lotulelei next week. Quarterback Geno Smith and defensive end Ziggy Ansah were at the NovaCare Complex on Wednesday. Outside linebacker Dion Jordan and tackle Eric Fisher were scheduled to meet with the Eagles on Thursday. And defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd was set to visit the team on Friday, per sources. Tackle Luke Joeckel is being brought in next week, as well. The Texas A&M product is arguably the No. 1 tackle in the draft. Fisher is a close second and could be ranked ahead of Joeckel on some draft boards. Tackle Lane Johnson of Oklahoma is also in the mix, although the Eagles have yet to schedule a meeting with him, according to a league source. With the fourth pick, the Eagles can almost take whatever play they want.  There will be plenty of talent for them to choose from and improve their team right away.     Need NFL Tickets? var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ? _CI.counter + 1 : 1; document.write(''); script.type = 'text/javascript'; var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ? _CI.counter + 1 : 1; document.write(''); script.type = 'text/javascript'; script.src = 'http://widget.crowdignite.com/widgets/27484?_ci_wid=_CI_widget_'+_CI.counter; script.async = true; ref.parentNode.insertBefore(script, ref); })();

Final 2013 NFL Mock Draft: Geno Smith drops

As we continue to count down the days till the 2013 NFL Draft, it is time to end the speculation and put one final piece of work down. In the final first round mock draft, the biggest question is how many quarterbacks were selected? Eagles players find out, even Chip Kelly’s practices are uptempo

After signing Chip Kelly as their new head coach, most Philadelphia Eagles fans thought their offense would be uptempo. Apparently, even Kelly’s practices will be uptempo (Credit: AP Photo) When the Philadelphia Eagles signed former Oregon head coach as their new head coach, most assumed the team would start running an uptempo style of offense. With off-season practices getting...

Speed is the key: Chip Kelly starting to install his up tempo mentality

Chip Kelly may not run an exact replica of the Oregon offense in the NFL, but he will implement one facet of it, speed. If you have watched Tom Brady and the New England Patriots offense the past few years, you’d notice the up tempo, speed the game up style. Bill Belichick spent time with Kelly learning new tricks on how to make his offense run faster, and now Kelly will bring...

Still Not Buying Nick Foles as Starter For Eagles

No matter how you sell it, I’m just not buying Nick Foles as the starting QB for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2013.  Though this subject had been somewhat lying low, it just popped up again recently after Foles was interviewed this week. He was asked several questions about the potential of him being the starter as well as being a fit in Kelly’s offense.  Some beat reporters...

We’re in the depths of the long football offseason, but lo! A slight vision of hope on the horizon. The release of the Philadelphia Eagles preseason schedule. Kinda sorta. It’s something, right? Eagles’ Curtis Marsh Jr. has to take the next step in 2013

The Philadelphia Eagles said goodbye to Nnamdi Asomugha, Dominique Rogers-Cromartie and hello to Cary Williams, but one cornerback that has to take the next step in his development in 2013 is Curtis Marsh Jr.; you remember Curtis Marsh right? The third round pick from the 2011 draft class of the Eagles. Well he has been buried in the depth chart, because of guys like Asomugha...

Nick Foles Believes He’ll Win Eagles QB Job

Eagles backup quarterback Nick Foles has been all but counted out as a projected starter in Philadelphia.  There were reports that Kelly and the Eagles were going to trade Foles. Foles is still around, and as the Eagles begin their off-season workouts and preparations, Foles thinks he can run Kelly’s uptempo spread offense, and as he told USA Today, “he’s ready to run it.”...
