The Philadelphia Eagles, looking to plug potential holes on their defensive line, worked out free agent end Jacob Ford, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported Wednesday.
Daryl Tapp has a pectoral injury and fellow defensive lineman Juqua Parker has an ankle injury. Both may be unable to play Sunday vs. the New York Giants.
Ford collected 90 tackles and 15 1/2 sacks over the last three seasons for the Tennesee Titans, where he was coached by current Eagles defensive line coach Jim Washburn.
Tapp and Parker both are listed as backups on the depth chart. In the offseason, the Eagles signed free agent defensive linemen Jason Babin and Cullen Jenkins.
