Perhaps unhappy with the play and mouth of Vince Young this season, the Eagles earlier this week worked out Trent Edwards, a former third-round pick of the Buffalo Bills in 2007. Edwards, 28, was not signed following the work out, but is eligible to sign with any team since he was not on an NFL roster at the end of the regular season. He last played in 2010 with the Jaguars, making only one start that year. The Raiders had him in training camp last summer, but he did not make the team and went unsigned. Edwards started 32 games for the Bills, going 14-18.
