Eagles backup QB Michael Vick wants to be a starter again in 2014.  At first, he was open to returning to the Eagles as a backup, then he wasn’t, now he is…again. Seems like a conflicted man, but that is understandable. Vick genuinely likes Philadelphia, his teammates and seems fond of Chip Kelly.  His pride (and likely his bank account) tells him he is capable of being an effective starter and wants to go somewhere that he’ll be able to prove that (and get a starter’s contract to go with it). However, there has to be a part of him that knows he may not find a starting gig once free agency begins in March.  With several of the QB-needy teams likely to fill their QB needs via the draft, the opportunities to find a starting job will be limited. Hence why he doesn’t want to burn any bridges that lead back into the City of Brotherly Love. Eagles take out full-page ad in the Inquirer

Check out this nice full-page ad that the Eagles put in today’s edition of The Philadelphia Inquirer. The ad is actually a semi-transcription of this video that the Eagles released the other day. Looks like this was their way of reaching all the people who aren’t hip to this tech stuff. h/t to @MetsFanInPhilly (whose avatar is, obviously, a picture of Snoopy that says “Go...

In this month’s Philadelphia Eagles Mock Draft, I am doing something a little different. This month I explore alternate realities and the possible outcomes that may come about in the draft next May. Keyshawn Johnson: Chip Kelly Failed To Live Up To Expectations

I like Keyshawn Johnson and all, but this assessment of Chip Kelly is totally wrong and off base. Johnson was a guest on the JonAndSeanShow, and gave the Eagles coach a C grade for this season because in Johnson’s words, Kelly didn’t live up to expectations. “I would probably say, probably just about a C,” said Johnson. “Well because he started off slow. He thought that...

The pros and cons of a new DeSean Jackson contract

DeSean Jackson is the ideal athlete for the talk radio host. He’s talented but brash, successful yet inconsistent, and simultaneously fun and frustrating. Ultimately, his talent is all that should matter. No one in the locker room thinks he has an attitude problem, so whatever Joe in Doylestown thinks is irrelevant to the team’s success on the field. His rap career and his Instagram...
