It was another day of no practice reps for Eagles wide receiver Jeremy Maclin, who continues to recover from a hip pointer. Surprisingly, joining him on the sidelines Thursday was fellow starting receiver DeSean Jackson, who has a sore hamstring. Maclin's status for Week 2 vs. Baltimore remains up in the air. Maclin heads into Week 2 looking for a touchdown in his second consecutive game. In his last two games, Maclin has 15 catches for 201 yards.

Philadelphia Eagles cut their loses and cut S Jaiquawn Jarrett, re-sign WR Mardy Gilyard
The Philadelphia Eagles on Tuesday cut their 2011 2nd-round draft pick, safety Jaiquawn Jarrett.
They didn’t want to do it. Who wants to admit defeat on a 54th overall selection in the draft after just 17 games? The fact that he survived the final cuts to the 53-man roster tells you that. He had a disastrous showing in the first preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers,...
Eagles missing top receivers Thursday
Eagles wide receivers Jeremy Maclin and DeSean Jackson missed Thursday's practice with injuries. Head coach Andy Reid said Maclin (hip) and Jackson (hamstring) would not participate but could still play in Sunday's game against the Ravens. Maclin has a hip pointer, and remains extremely tender, Reid said. Jackson's hamstring injury is not considered serious but...
Philadelphia Eagles Talk on 900 WURD AM
Just before the start of the season, I spoke with Philadelphia Sports Week on 900 AM WURD about my predictions for the Eagles season, whether we could expect to see from Mike Vick and more more.
In case you’re interested in hearing the interview, which is about 20 minutes in length, you can do so via the link below (with a slight side of static, just because you’re special)....
DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin don’t practice
According to Rotoworld.com, Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver’s Jeremy Maclin (hip flexor) and DeSean Jackson (hamstring) were held out of practice on Thursday.
“Jackson’s absence comes out of nowhere. He played the entire game in Week 1 and was listed as a full participant during Wednesday’s practice. D-Jax either pulled the hammy at the end of practice or simply woke up...
Should you try to buy low on Michael Vick?
After a pretty rough 2011 season in which Vick went from a possible first overall fantasy pick to one that dealt with another injury and finished with nearly as many interceptions (14) as touchdown passes..While he set a career high with his 3303 passing yards and managed an impressive 589 rushing yard, he left owners disappointed with just one rushing touchdown..Better things were...
Philadelphia Eagles Week 2 Fantasy Football Review
Philadelphia Eagles Week 2 Fantasy Football Review
So week 1 is officially over and if you were a fantasy owner that relied heavily on the Eagles, you probably were somewhat disappointed. Only Jeremy Maclin and the Eagles D/ST outperformed their projections against the Cleveland Browns. DeSean Jackson was relatively quiet and Michael Vick ruined a good statistical outing with...
Andy Reid is trying to turn Michael Vick into an old white man
You can talk about the bad decisions, or the lack of awareness when it comes to eluding injury, but despite his inadequacies, Michael Vick possesses a skill set that few others have been able to emulate in my lifetime, or maybe ever.I’m not his biggest fan, but not since the recent arrival of Cam Newton and more recently Robert Griffin III, has the NFL seen a quarterback who can...
Vick's ongoing issues cause for Eagles' concern
PHILADELPHIA -- In 2010, the Eagles finished 10-6, won their division and pushed the eventual Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers to the limit in the NFL playoffs. In 2011, the Eagles finished 8-8 and didn't even make the playoffs. There was obviously a big difference in those two seasons and the main difference was the quarterback, even though he was the same guy. In 2010...
Eagles matchup with Ravens: will Reid put Vick in the right position to win?
Next up for the Eagles will be the Baltimore Ravens, and if you watched them Monday night play the Bengals, you should realize the Eagles will need a better effort if they hope to win. Starting with Andy Reid, who one would have difficulty arguing that last week Reid called one of his worst games as Eagles coach.
When the Eagles coaches watch the tapes on the Ravens they will see...
FSNextTV: Michael Vick
Michael Vick is more than a familiar name. The talented offensive lineman is working hard this season to earn some college options. The Baton Rouge native is a four year varsity starter for the Buccaneers of Broadmoor High. See footage of Vick in action against Denham Springs in this FOXSportsNext video presentation.
Baltimore Ravens vs. Philadelphia Eagles: Three Bold Predictions
The Philadelphia Eagles (1-0) will be hosting the Baltimore Ravens (1-0) on Sunday for their 2012 home opener. The Eagles struggled mightily against the Browns last week, but scratched and clawed their way to a victory. The Ravens on the other hand, destroyed the Bengals offensively and defensively. When I previously broke down the Eagles' schedule, I said this would be their toughest...
Baltimore Ravens vs. Philadelphia Eagles: Battle of the Birds
The Ravens look to continue riding their hot streak this week in Philadelphia against the 1-0 Eagles, who are coming off an ugly win over the Browns in Cleveland, a game that featured eight total interceptions. Although the Eagles' offense struggled for most of game against Browns, and Baltimore pummeled 2011 playoff participant Cincinnati, those curious Vegas odds-makers have...
Ravens-Eagles Preview
A late game-winning drive salvaged an otherwise dreadful Week 1 for Michael Vick.
Joe Flacco was brilliant for virtually all 60 minutes.
Vick could be facing an unfriendly home crowd if his performance is much like the season opener, and Philadelphia Eagles fans would only be more temperamental if Flacco and the new-look Baltimore Ravens offense have another big game Sunday.
Limited...
Week 2 of Fantasy Football: the Duds
Before we get to this week’s duds, we’ve got to do the best part of these blogs: tally the score from last week. My Duds from Week 1 - At QB I had Michael Vick, citing the dangerous Cleveland secondary and their ability to pick off passes. Despite throwing 4 INT’s, Vick still managed 2 touchdowns [...]
