Late in the season Tom Brady either intentionally or unintentionally kicked Ed Reed in the leg. Brady was fined $10k and Reed says it is the only explanation of why he was hurting at the end of the year. Houston Texans safety Ed Reed, who is still rehabbing from offseason hip surgery, indicated that the injury originally occurred when Patriots quarterback Tom Brady kicked him in the AFC championship game. “The only play I could look at is when I got kicked by a certain quarterback,” Reed said Tuesday at Texans minicamp. “But even then, I played in the Super Bowl and you saw what happened there.” Reed isn’t sure if he will be ready to start the season for the Texans who signed him this off-season.
