Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed posted this message to his Twitter account. This comes after Reed tweeted earlier “Back home with my son, he’s riding his bike an I’m doing yard work! Tell the bosses I’m comfortable!”
Clearly, Reed is trying to cash in and receive one last big contract before he retires. The Ravens seem unlikely to comply though since they don’t have much cap space and also need to sign Ray Rice to a contract extension. Now we’ll see if Reed is serious on his holdout threat come July 27, when the Ravens are scheduled to open training camp.

Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed indicated earlier in the offseason that he may end up retiring and not play this coming season.
This weekend, Reed certainly sounded like he’s very happy being home. At least it he made it clear on Twitter that he’s very comfortable living a normal life.
Back home with my son, he’s riding his bike an I’m doing yard work! Tell...
Despite tweets to the contrary from Baltimore Ravens free safety Ed Reed, legendary linebacker Ray Lewis is confident the future Hall of Famer will show when training camp commences on July 27 at Owings Mills, Maryland. “Back home with my … Continue reading →
Courtney Upshaw knows the perception from the outside is that Terrell Suggs' injury puts Upshaw on the fast track to immediate playing time -- and a key role -- with the Baltimore Ravens this fall.
But Upshaw, a surprise second-round selection, maintains that isn't the case. Speaking at the NFL Rookie Symposium late last month, he said he never expected to have anything...
Ed reed, one of the greatest safeties of all time wants a new contract. On the field, he’s a savvy player who knows how to disguise a play to get his desired results. Off the field, he’s just like any employee looking for a raise. Everyday people soft shoe around their bosses, dropping hints they think they are underpaid, but for pro football players, they have the media, and...
I like David Reed (6-0, 190, now in his 3rd year out of Utah)... He is a gifted receiver and return specialist who has the speed to beat a secondary defense vertically. He can break a kickoff or a punt for a TD. He has the natural instincts of a very good offensive player. Maybe the only knock on young David Reed in the past was a need to improve his hands in the way he caught...
According to Aaron Wilson of the Carroll County Times, a new contract between the Baltimore Ravens and running back Ray Rice doesn’t seem to be imminent at this time.
The Ravens and Rice will have until Monday afternoon to get a new deal done. If they can’t reach a deal before the deadline, they’ll have to wait until the end of the regular season to continue...
Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed wants a new contract. He's been sort of subtle about it, dropping little hints to the team on Twitter that he may play hard ball when it comes down to showing up at training camp. Up until Wednesday that is.
The Baltimore Sun reports that Reed told 105.7 The Fan in Baltimore that “the only way we protect ourselves, the only way a player gets...
According to the Carroll County Times, there is currently no deal “imminent” between the Ravens and franchise player Ray Rice just 6 days before the deadline for franchise players to sign long term deals. This report comes a week after ESPN’s John Clayton predicted that the two sides would come to an agreement ahead of the deadline citing that Rice is one of the few running...
