PLAYERS: Ed Reed
TEAMS: Baltimore Ravens
Former LSU cornerback Tyrann Mathieu told BaltimoreRavens.com that safety Ed Reed has reached out to the people that surround him in his life. “He never talked to me personally but he’s reached out to my adoptive parents,” Mathieu said Sunday at the NFL Combine. “He’s reached out to my agent and [former LSU defensive back and current Arizona Cardinals cornerback] Patrick Peterson.” Mathieu told reporters he’s been clean since October. “I’ve been to rehabs, I’ve been to counseling, I have a sponsor,” Mathieu said. “I’m surrounded by people who do what I want to do and that’s be a professional football player. I think the last few months have been going pretty good for me.” I really believe Mathieu’s story is going to have a great ending and he’s going to become a heck of an NFL player. Baltimore Ravens re-sign QB Joe Flacco

I hate when teams overpay based off of a short period of uncharacteristically strong play. I always like to consider where a guy was a year ago when grading moves. Well with Joe Flacco, you don’t even have to consider where he was a year ago. All you have to do is consider where he was 4 games ago. Going into January, he might not have gotten 60 million total on a contract (somewhere...
