Bull-rushing, power steps and a sweet spin move are just a few tools that the Green Bay Packers 6-0, 220, rookie running back has at his disposal.
His name is Eddie Lacy and he’s ready to captivate the Packers infinite fan base with something as simple as an effective ground game.
Green Bay hasn’t had the luxury of a 100 yard rusher during the regular season since 2010, a feet that’s unacceptable in a league where the opposing defenses adapt so quickly.
It was week five of the 2010 season when Brandon Jackson, yes that Brandon Jackson pictured above, rushed for 115 yards in an overtime loss to the Washington Redskins. Jackson only rushed 10 times and reached the century mark in large part due to a 71 yard scamper.
Not only has Jackson failed to reach 100 yards in a game again, no other Packers running back has done it during the regular season. The streak has reached 43 games which is just mind-boggling when you think about it.
Don’t expect the streak to live long with Lacy who ba...

The Green Bay Packers announced on Tuesday afternoon that their roster had been reduced to 75 players, per NFL rules. Four players were placed on injured reserve, four were placed on the PUP (physically unable to perform), and one was released. The players removed from the active roster were:
Thompson and McCarthy have a lot of meeting to do over the next week to trim the Packers’ roster to 53 players
The Green Bay Packers will face some tough decision after this week’s final preseason game and to determine what the final roster will look like. That will fall largely on General Manager Ted Thompson and Head Coach Mike McCarthy.
It’s possible that one of these...
The Packers backfield lost a key member in DuJuan Harris, likely ending his season. Those in fantasy leagues might want to upgrade Eddie Lacy.
Brian McIntyre of Yahoo! Sports reported Thursday that Crosby has agreed to restructure his contract, according to a source with knowledge of the situation. Mason was scheduled to make $2.4 million in base salary this season, but reworked a deal were he will receive $800,000 in base pay. Those earning are fully guaranteed if he makes […]
GREEN BAY, Wis. -- In the eyes of coach Mike McCarthy, the Green Bay Packers just lost their starting running back for the season. McCarthy announced Tuesday that DuJuan Harris was placed on injured reserve with a knee injury.
"It's a tough one," McCarthy said. "He was definitely a young player I felt would be impactful for us on offense.
"Tough blow to...

Movin' On Up:
Kicker Mason Crosby
If Mason Crosby begins the regular season as the Green Bay Packers' kicker, he can probably look back at Tuesday's practice as what won him the job. Crosby was a perfect 14-for-14, making seven kicks into the wind and seven kicks with the wind at his...

I wonder if they’ll end up keeping James Starks now, since it looked like he could be on his way out.

Hot News for QB Green Bay Packers
Tramon Williams practiced again, improving the odds that he's ready for Week 1 at San Francisco. Plus injury updates and Tuesday's lopsided kicking battle.
When the Green Bay Packers invade Arrowhead Stadium Thursday night to face the Kansas City Chiefs, I wouldn’t expect much from the starters. But for those roster fringe players from the previous regimes, they might want to take this game very seriously.
The starting spots seem secure, with consistent Sam Shields and rising Davon House, but it's the jockeying for roster spots that'll be worth watching when the Packers face the Chiefs.
The New York Jets quarterback controversy took another turn as the team signed Graham Harrell. Harrell was released by the Packers after losing out on the backup job behind Aaron Rodgers. He was 23 for 42 with 169 yards and an interception in three preseason games for Green Bay.
With Mark Sanchez’s health in question and uncertainty around Geno Smith, the addition of Harrell makes...
