New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning has been struggling lately and Greg Cosell of NFL FIlms believes he knows why. Cosell was on Friday’s Yahoo! Week Ten preview podcast and indicated that he believes Manning might be suffering from a “tired arm.” “Ron Jaworski and I were having this conversation this week,” Cosell said, via Pro Football Talk. “I looked at Eli on Monday; Jaws looked at Eli on Wednesday. And he made a very interesting comment. It really struck me, and I would defer to Jaws on this because I’ve never taken snaps in the NFL. … It looks to him like Eli’s arm is a little tired. And that he’s not driving the ball at the intermediate and deeper levels the way we’ve come to expect. Because Eli has a strong arm. “And we even got that sort of confirmed by someone who’s a lot closer to the situation. His arm’s a little bit tired right now. He’s missed some throws that he would normally make.” The Giants have a week 11 bye, I’m sure Manning will make sure he takes care of his arm, if it’s indeed tired.     var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ? _CI.counter + 1 : 1; document.write(''); script.type = 'text/javascript'; script.src = ''+_CI.counter; script.async = true; ref.parentNode.insertBefore(script, ref); })(); sr_adspace_id = 1000005525107; sr_adspace_width = 300; sr_adspace_height = 250; sr_ad_new_window = true; sr_adspace_type = "graphic";

Giants, Eli Manning go flat in blowout loss

CINCINNATI - The New York Giants have been down this road in Novembers past and still made it to February. After flatlining Sunday in a 31-13 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, they have to hope they can regroup, recharge and come back from their upcoming bye weekend ready to play like the Giants of the last several seasons -- and even the team they were several weeks ago. Besides...

Eli Manning Dealing With Arm Fatigue

Both analysts confirmed the suspicion with "someone in the know." Eli Manning and Giants Continue Descent By Losing Against The Bengals

TweetWeek 10 against the Bengals confirms the New York Giants customary second half of the season descent as they lose 31-13. It was an embarrassing game for the team but especially for the offense. Old Eli Manning seems to have reared his ugly head. His decision making has to be questioned. Some of the interceptions cannot be excused anymore. He began as an elite QB but now has...

Struggling Bengals to face Super Bowl champs

The New York Giants blew a fourth-quarter lead last week as their four-game winning streak came to an end. With a recent history of struggling through the second half of the season, they hope a matchup with the sliding Cincinnati Bengals proves to be just what they need. The Giants look to get back on track before their bye week as they try to extend the Bengals' losing streak...

Giants try to jump-start offense

Before the New York Giants can trot off and enjoy their upcoming bye week, they'd like nothing more than to emerge with a win against a Cincinnati Bengals team that, despite its 3-5 record, is built very much like the Pittsburgh Steelers. Pittsburgh handed the Giants a 24-20 defeat last week. "They have a good defense," quarterback Eli Manning said of the Bengals...

Eli or Peyton: Who’s Playing Better Right Now?

In this week’s D&D Mailbag, a fan asked a great question, “Who is playing better right now, Eli or Peyton?” Although the italics are mine, that’s what I focused on with my answer in the mailbag. Giving you the bottom line up front for this article: It is not even debatable that Peyton is playing better right now. Digging deeper into the numbers as well as each team’s...

Pitiful Picks: Will the Dolphins get back on track?

The Miami Dolphins finally return home after what seems like an eternity.  The Dolphins have played back to back road games and had their bye, so they haven’t played a home game in almost a month.  This week, the Dolphins welcome in the Tennessee Titans and hope to get back over the .500 mark.  This will be an abbreviated version of the Dolphins Pitiful Picks, as I am headed...
