At first, it looked like the Ravens would get out of their victory over the Houston Texans unscathed. Now, that doesn't seem to be the case. According to this tweet from Aaron Wilson, linebacker Dannell Ellerbe will be out a few weeks with hamstring and groin injuries. Ellerbe had a hamstring issue earlier this season, but played against the Texans Sunday afternoon.

Week 6 Postmortem: Ravens 29 - Texans 14

Here are my observations from yesterday's game between Baltimore and Houston, in no particular order:This is not last year's teamThe 2011 Baltimore Ravens actually know how to finish out a game.  They didn't panic after the Texans took the lead in the 3rd quarter, and they didn't go into a scramble like they did against Houston last year when the Ravens blew a 15...

Quick hits: This isn't last year's Ravens team

2011 version of the Ravens seems to have more heart when games get difficultAs was the case when the Ravens and the Texans met in 2010, the Ravens held a lead after halftime. The score was tighter this time, with the Texans trailing by one score for much of the second half, but it never really felt like the game was in jeopardy. The Ravens maintained control on both sides of the...

Locked in a tight game against a wounded opponent, the Baltimore Ravens cranked up the defense and supplemented their rejuvenated running attack with a couple of long passes to pull away to another double-digit home win.

Mike Preston: Ravens must slow pass rush

The Ravens have an extra day this week because they play on Monday night against the Jaguars in Jacksonville. I assume by now that Jaguars coach Jack Del Rio has watched the Ravens game against the Texans, and suspect he will run a lot of delayed blitzes against the Ravens on Monday night. The Texans had success with Sunday, especially in the first half, and I was surprised that...
