Newly acquired New York Jets wide receiver Eric Decker and his country music singer wife Jessie James Decker revealed in an exclusive statement to E! (the network that airs the couple's reality show) on Tuesday morning that they are now the proud parents of a baby girl.
Born at 5:36 a.m. Tuesday, the Deckers welcomed Vivianne Rose to the world. A rep for the couple told E! that Jessie was admitted to the hospital on Monday afternoon and after delivery in the wee hours of Tuesday morning, Vivianne Rose was born, weighing 8lbs., 2 oz., measuring in at 20 inches "with a full head of hair!" The rep also reported that "[b]oth mom and daughter are doing well."
James Decker posted the above photo before the Deckers made the trip to the hospital, writing, "So excited," and then posted the below photo from her hospital room on Monday, where she wrote, "Lots of tears, nerves, smiles, and excitement! Just so anxious to meet our baby girl :)))"
She looks far too glamorous for a woman in her position. Hardly surprising, I guess. Congratulations to the proud parents. Let's hope Vivianne Roses shares her daddy's love for New Jersey.

It Has Become A Civil War
It has been sad to witness. A beloved nation in peril. Jets fans have been at war with each other since day one of free agency kicked off last Tuesday. One side...
The New York Jets were able to sign free agent wide receiver Eric Decker this offseason, but they haven’t been able to bring in the other legitimate receiver that they were looking to sign. According to reports, they are very intrigued with NFL Draft prospect wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin out of Florida State. Both Rex Ryan and John Idzik were at the Seminoles’ pro day to check...
We’re a week into free agency now, so let’s recap what moves the New York Jets have made and grade each one. I won’t waste words – let’s jump right in:
Franchise-tagging K Nick Folk, then re-signing him to a four-year, $12 million contract:
Grade: A The franchise tag designation gave the Jets more time to negotiate with Folk, who made 33 of 36 field goals last year, without...
The New York Jets have been very quiet over the first week of the NFL Free Agency period.
The Jets came into the offseason with nearly $28 million dollars in cap space, but the team been very careful about giving out that money. General manager John Idzik signed the top receiver on the market in Eric Decker to a 5-year, $36.25 million dollar deal and right tackle Breno Giacomini...
The New York Jets have a big decision to make on quarterback Mark Sanchez by next Tuesday. Actually make that a $2 million decision.
#Jets have until Monday to make a decision on Mark Sanchez, whose $2M roster bonus is due Tuesday. At this point, still no decision made.

It really wouldn’t make much sense at all toe hold onto Sanchez...
Rex Ryan is said to be “pissed” over the New York Jets’ failure to sign one of the top cornerbacks on the free agent market this offseason. Not only was the team unable to bring back his favorite, Darrelle Revis, who signed a two-year deal with the New England Patriots, but they also lost Dominique […]
Just because the Jets obtained arguably the best wide receiver in free agency this year (Eric Decker), does not mean they are not looking to add to their receiving corps. Jacoby Ford has drawn interest from the Jets, part of that may have to do with his speed as he possesses a 4.28 40. However, Ford has missed many games already early in his career due to injury and may make the...
According to Eliot Shorr of NJ.com, free agent quarterback Michael Vick will be visiting the New York Jets this weekend.
Vick is planning on visiting the Jets this weekend, a source close to the situation has told NJ.com. This will be Vick’s first official visit, and could be his last if all goes well. And the pressure could be on the Jets to land a free agent, given a methodical...
Super Bowls may not be won in March, but general manager John Idzik’s rigid and methodical style already is wearing thin within the walls at One Jets Drive after the Giants out-smarted and out-maneuvered him to land free-agent cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie on Monday.
The Jets, in desperate need of a quality cornerback, squandered a golden opportunity to lock up Rodgers...
Jets head coach Rex Ryan knows how important it is to have a top cornerback on his team after having Darrelle Revis on his roster in the past.
Not that Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie is on the same planet as a guy like Revis, but Ryan isn’t happy at all that the Jets didn’t land him and the New York Giants did.
Friend of Rex Ryan chimes in on news Jets couldn't land Dominique...
Despite Rex Ryan's apparent urge to make it happen, a Darrelle Revis reunion was never in the cards.
According to ESPNNewYork.com's Rich Cimini, the Jets weren't interested in signing the star cornerback after he hit the free agent market last week.
Revis, who officially signed his two-year, $32 million contract...
The New York Jets are expected to have as many as 12 picks in May’s draft, barring any trades. Arguably the two position groups that most expect to not be impacted by the draft are running back and defensive line. However, Mike Goodson’s legal situation is one to be monitored over the next couple of months (as I stated in my ideal off-season, I think he will have to be replaced...
When #Texans make their move with Matt Schaub (cut or trade), expect them to have interest in #Jets QB Mark Sanchez if/when he’s released
— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) March 17, 2014
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport has added another name to the Houston Texans quarterback list, with apparent interest in New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez. With the Texans looking for help at the...
Much like the Energizer Bunny, former Pittsburgh Steelers offensive lineman Willie Colon keeps going and going, and going.
On Wednesday, Colon re-signed with the New York Jets and the Hofstra product will get his wish to remain near is hometown of the Bronx.
Colon, who was originally drafted by the Steelers in the fourth round of the 2006 NFL Draft, was released by the Steelers last...
With several top flight free agent cornerbacks flying off the open market, John Idzik and the New York Jets may have to shop in the bargain bin to find a quality starting cornerback back heading into next season.
