By late morning today, pretty much every sports blog and Hollywood gossip site on the internet was reporting that ESPN sideline queen Erin Andrews was dating Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford. EA was spotted a few times with Crawford, the brother-in-law of Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo, and US Weekly ran with it. As did all the blogs.
Sports Illustrated’s Jimmy Traina, who is quite chummy with Andrews, wrote on Twitter that the rumor is “not true.”
He later wrote on his PM Hot Clicks blog that “Andrews told me the story is false and they are not dating.”
In the past, Andrews was also rumored to be dating Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers and Wisconsin Badgers coach Bret Bielema. Neither of those rumors were ever proven or disproven.
