On ESPN radio's Mike and Mike program, ESPN analyst Cris Carter defends Coughlin. Please start listening at the 8 minute mark.I disagree with Carter. A question I have for Carter, how come the Giants did not call a play action pass? This play would have frozen the linebackers and they would have had a shot to score a touchdown. In addition, the Giants have a big target; however, unbeknownst to me, Gilbride chooses not use his 6 foot 7 inch TE Kevin Boss. As for small receivers not scoring in the red zone, again, I disagree with Carter. The Redskins "Fun Bunch" small smurf like receivers, Alvin Garrett, Gary Clark, Charlie Brown, and Virgil Seay caught touchdowns in the red zone area. Moreover, the Giants had a 5 foot 8 receiver Stephen Baker, the touchdown maker. Recall, in Super Bowl XXV, he caught a red zone pass- a fourteen yard pass, Mr. Carter.
