To say the New York Jets are a mess is an insult to the word mess. Jets Owner Woody Johnson implied that Mark Sanchez was to blame for his shoulder injury: “I don’t have any regrets,” Johnson said, via the NY Daily News. “He’s an experienced guy. I wish he hadn’t gotten hurt, but you got to protect yourself, too. Rex Ryan (who needs to protect his own job) didn’t exactly run to Sanchez’ defense: “It’s 100% injury rate in the league,” he said. “It’s unfortunate that it happened. But these things do happen. And we’ve moved on.” Woody Johnson later tried to back off his position and clarify but the damage has been done. It would be good if people realized that the issues with the Jets are not just on the field but in the front office and owner’s box as well. Everyone in the world knows that Rex Ryan is a lame duck coach right now and it seems they want to move on from the Mark Sanchez era as well. Just do it already. Jets owner blames Mark Sanchez for injury

You would think that Woody Johnson might have learned by now how to pick and choose what to say and when to say it.  For Gang Green sakes, even Rex Ryan has turned down the rhetoric and now keeps his words to a minimum —maybe too much so. Either way, on Wednesday, the Jets owner spoke with such cringe worthy carelessness that it revealed just how much the Jets have distanced...

Sport Science examines the famous Mark Sanchez “Butt Fumble”

The crew over at Sport Science is always bringing interesting new looks at the world of sports through their scientific approach (I guess that’s why they call it Sport Science).  Their latest video might be the best one yet, as it takes a look into everything that took place on one fateful play last Thanksgiving when the New York Jets played the New England Patiots and Mark Sanchez...

Sanchez won’t be ready until at least Week 3 vs. Bills

It could be a while before Mark Sanchez is capable of even throwing a football again. The Jets quarterback’s shoulder injury is significant enough he is expected to miss the first two weeks of the regular season and may be out longer according to a source. Sanchez injured his right shoulder on Aug. 24 in a preseason game against the Giants. The Jets have said he is “day-to...

ESPN Retires Mark Sanchez ‘Butt Fumble’ Video From SportsCenter “Not Top 10″ (Video)

It’s the end of an era for the relationship between Mark Sanchez and Brandon Moore‘s butt. Mark Sanchez believes the Jets want to put him on IR

It should be crystal clear by now that the Jets want the Mark Sanchez era to be over. The problem with that is that the Geno Smith era, in the short term at least, doesn’t look all that promising. And there’s no way that Jets fans will stand for Geno Smith throwing interception after interception while the veteran quarterback that beat him out in training camp stands on the sideline...
