Earlier this summer, running back Maurice Jones-Drew said he had his sights set on the career NFL rushing title. However, he’s still missing from camp due to a holdout.
Laurent Robinson, Cecil Shorts and Mike Thomas are the top receivers on the Jaguars’ roster behind rookie Justin Blackmon. The team recently released Lee Evans and added Demetrius Williams.
Like Evans, Williams also spent time with the Ravens. And like Williams, Brian Robiskie also was with the Cleveland Browns before joining the Jaguars.
Now onto the offensive line, where matters might be even worse.
After already being without starting left guard...
BEST OF MAXIM
The Jacksonvile Jaguars just had another setback as LT Eugene Monroe was carted off of the field with a head injury. In a day where touchdown dances have almost become more publicized than wins and losses (thanks ESPN), Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Mike Mularkey has put down a wager to help curtail his team from celebrating.
Mularkey announced Sunday that for all Jaguars’ touchdowns in which the player hands the ball back to the referee instead of dancing, Mularkey will donate $250 to the...
Tired of the age old antics of showboating after a Touchdown, Jaguars Head Coach Mike Mularkey says he will donate $250 to the Ronald McDonald House of Jacksonville for every touchdown scored without a celebration after. The Jaguars organization is in on the donations too, and they will match Mularkey’s $250 for a total of $500 each time.
None of this, and the Jaguars will donate...
According to the Florida Times-Union, Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew will not immediately be put in the starting lineup if he reports right before the season opener.Fantasy Spin:It's not time to start discounting MJD's fantasy value due to expected loss of game action, but we're getting close. And be sure to handcuff Rashad Jennings for insurance.
Cornerback Mike Holmes signed with the Jaguars, who waived rookie safety Jeremiah Brown. Holmes signed with Chicago as an undrafted rookie in 2011 but failed to make the final roster. He signed with Indianapolis on Oct. 12 and was promoted to the active roster Dec. 6 before being waived in May.
By the time the third game comes along and the starters actually play a whole half, I’ll be fully in regular season mode. For now though the only thing I can do short of time travel is to create conjecture for a rabid audience. Will the Bills be good at this? Will they be good at that? Will they? Won’t they? Should they? Shouldn’t they? There’s nothing definite to talk about...
