This Given Sunday:
U.S. president Barack Obama knows his sports, and although he's a basketball guy first, the prez isn't afraid to talk some football when the occasion arises. Just this summer at an event in Oakland, he told Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha to tell Michael Vick to slide more.
Yes, he also once called the Penn State football team the "Nitally Lions," but we're giving him the benefit of the doubt and guessing he's more of an NFL fan. He is, after all, a Chicago guy and a Bears fan first.
But with an election looming, Obama's also trying to appeal to the masses for votes right now. That's why it was slightly surprising that the first thing he did in a Tuesday interview with a Miami-based Latin romance radio station was take a shot at the Dolphins.
In that interview, host DJ Laz mentioned off the top that he was wearing his Phins jersey, to which POTUS replied:
“You’ve got to start with that Dolphins thing?," Obama said, via Davi...

The Miami Dolphins’ rookie quarterback, Ryan Tannehill has a problem with passes getting tipped at the line of scrimmage. In Sunday’s 30-10 beat down by the Texans, Tannehill had six passes batted down, according to Dolphins offensive coordinator Mike Sherman. Tipped pass are not good. But they are exponentially worse when they are batted into [...]

The holdings Dan Marino had in Digital Domain, a special effects company that was behind Titanic and other films, have reportedly lost $13.8 million in value.
The Miami Dolphins are 0-1. This much we know. What we don't know is how they will fare for the rest of the season.
At first glance last week's 30-10 loss to the Houston Texans looks pretty bad,...

DAVIE, Fla. In todays NFL, its tough to score in the red zone the area inside the opponents 20-yard line without some basic weapons.
Heres the checklist: a head-banging running back, a space-clearing tight end, a wide receiver who can go up and get the ball, a crafty quarterback who is proficient at throwing the fade or the back-shoulder pass, and an offensive line that can...
Just about a month after allegedly headbutting his future ex-wife, Evelyn Lozada, Chad Johnson has now been formally charged with misdemeanor battery, the Associated Press reports.
If convicted, the unemployed receiver faces up to a year in jail.
On August 11, Johnson was involved in a domestic dispute with Lozada, reportedly stemming from a fight over a condom receipt. The incident...
The Texans' J.J. Watt claims he was able to pick up a few things about Ryan Tannehill and the Miami Dolphins from watching the HBO reality show.
Miami running back Daniel Thomas (concussion) has passed concussion tests but he still won't play Sunday, according to 640 AM Miami.Fantasy Spin:Rookie Lamar Miller will serve as Reggie Bush's backup after he was inactive for Week 1. Bush is really the only Dolphins player you want to be starting in fantasy at this point.
The Dolphins have been a punchline in the NFL since Dan Marino retired. Jeff Ireland has done little to help the team in recent years, and this year isn't much better.
It seems people in high places are taking notice; more specifically, the president of the United States is taking notice.
President Obama was on 106.7 in Miami with DJ Laz, and it didn't take long for...
It was only a matter of time.
Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt said he picked up the Miami Dolphins’ snap count by watching HBO’s “Hard Knocks.” Watts made the revelation during an interview with NBC Network’s “Pro Football Talk.”

While Ryan Tannehill seems like the one quarterback that the major media sites are failing to talk about, expect a big game this week from him. Tannehill and the lack luster Dolphins will face the Oakland Raiders this week, who lost one of the best defenders on Monday night against the Chargers. When Ron Bartell was injured it was a huge loss for the...
“Tomfoolery” is the word that Antonio Smith used to describe Miami Dolphins offensive lineman Richie Incognito’s play this past Sunday. So the Luv Ya Steel Blue team, Mike, Aaron and Pat, talked about that incident and many more topics pertaining to week one of the Texans season.
Also the guys talked about Matt Schaub, Andre Johnson, the new look offensive line, the lack of...
Week 1 has now come and gone and the Dolphins fan base has been left pretty discouraged about the outcome of this season. While the concern is obviously more than warranted, it’s time to sit back and realize there is still a lot of football to be played this season.
The Dolphins played a legitimate Super Bowl contender in the Houston Texans and get a much more realistic test in...
