Shaun Ellis was a dangerous intruder in New England's backfield when he sacked Tom Brady twice in last season's playoffs. He was a welcome addition when he walked into the locker room as a member of the Patriots this year.
When he arrived he wasn't sure how he'd be received by the players he helped the New York Jets beat in January. But he said his new teammates really took him in.
Another odd meeting is set for Sunday when he faces his former team.
The Patriots are 3-1, although Ellis has just three tackles and no sacks in four games. The Jets are 2-2 after losing their last two games. Ellis has 74.5 sacks in his career, including playoffs. But the Patriots have just six this season and have allowed the most yards in the NFL.
