Anthony Gruppuso-USA TODAY Sports The New York Jets underwent a circus of a season last year with Tim Tebow, and he never really was given a shot with the team. It’s unknown if the Jets want to keep, trade or cut Tebow, but something is bound to happen this off-season regarding this situation. Mike Tannenbaum was the man who made this signing after the Denver Broncos decided to dump Tebow Time for Peyton Manning. The now former Jets general manager is still backing up the Tebow signing, and is a strong believer in the 25-year-old. “This is a guy who was successful in high school, won championships in college, and he’s the type of person who’s either going to be successful as a pro quarterback or die trying,” Tannenbaum told the Newark Star-Ledger. “He’s highly competitive. Obviously there’s some skills he has to work on. He has to be a more consistent thrower from the pocket, we all know that; the accuracy. But with that, there are things he does bring to the table.” I’d have to agree with Tannenbaum. Tebow is one of the most determined and hardworking guys out there in the league, and with some help on mechanics, he can really become a threat. It’s unfortunate that he was never given a chance, but if he’s able to catch the eye of any team (and they’re willing to help him and give him a shot), he can really become an efficient starting quarterback in the NFL.
