The Rap Sheet:
Former Patriots linebacker Tedy Bruschi was in the spotlight again yesterday, being named one of the four honorary captains for the AFC Championship game against the Ravens. The Pats are shouting out the 1996 and 2001 teams, and Bruschi was on both.
While he expressed gratitude for the honor, the current ESPN analyst also offered his own prediction for Sunday. And while his former teammates would never look ahead, Bruschi did exactly that. You may like his Super Bowl prediction.
Yup, he’s thinking Patriots-Giants.
“There’s a story for you,” Bruschi said. “I was watching the Giants game with my wife and sons at home and the Giants are winning the game and you know what the potential is there. I looked at my wife and said, ‘Honey, I don’t know if I can deal with this for two weeks.’ Reliving ’07 having to talk about it here at ESPN. But the more I thought about it I said, ‘Babe, that’s the way I think it should be.’ I said that because I think that’s the way Myra would have wanted it.

What is GRONKING you ask? The act of GRONKING means spiking a football (or anything) like Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski does after his touchdowns.
Record setting New...
One of the phenoms that has emerged this season is Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski’s spike. No, not the player. The Gronk Spike, a crowd-pleasing favorite. In today’s Boston Herald, we celebrated that. The Gronk Spike was on the cover of today’s Boston Herald. And with the help of Dan Thaler from the MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference, we figured out the force of a massive Gronk...
Tom Brady and the New England Patriots made it to the AFC championship game with a high-powered offense that piled up points and yards.
Ray Lewis and the Baltimore Ravens got there with a hard-hitting defense that made it a major challenge for opponents to move the ball.
On Sunday, one of those teams will advance to the Super Bowl because, most likely, of what they do best.
In the same week that he will try to hurry, pressure and sack Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs has apparently dropped his grudge with him as well. Suggs said there’s “no beef” with Brady after feuding with the Patriots quarterback since 2009, ESPN.com’s Jamison Hensley writes. “You grow and mature,” Suggs said [...]
