The Buffalo Bills have the second-best offense in the AFC East, according to one expert. James Walker, a blogger for ESPN, recently ranked the offenses of the New England Patriots, Buffalo Bills, New York Jets and Miami Dolphins. The Patriots were ranked number one, followed by the Bills, Jets and Dolphins, respectively. Walker said the Bills could be solid offensively, but there are questions surrounding Ryan Fitzpatrick. He questioned if Fitzpatrick could be the long-term option the team has been searching for, given the fact that Fitzpatrick started the 2011 season strong, but then faltered. When it comes to running backs, Walker believes Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller could be one of the best duos in the league and that Jackson and Spiller could be the best tandem in the division. However, Walker does question the Bills’ receiving corps. While they have capable receiver Stevie Johnson, there is still questions about the team’s number two receiver. Walker said, while David Nelson filled the void last year, Nelson is a better slot receiver. The team also has Donald Jones returning from injury and rookie T.J. Graham who could fill that void. “If the Bills figure that (number 2 receiver) out, their offense can be dangerous,” Walker said. While many are impressed with the Bills’ defense, some experts are starting to take notice of the team’s offense. “The Bills have the potential to be solid on offense,” Walker said. Jets, Dustin Keller not in talks about long term deal

A former 1st round pick, Dustin Keller is heading into the final year of his 5 year rookie deal and will make 3.0525 million. According to ESPN New York, Keller and the Jets are not in talks about a long term deal. Keller had a breakout season in 2011 with 65 catches for 815 yards and 5 touchdowns, but the Jets probably want him to prove it again before they pay him. They have the...

New York Jets 53-man Roster Projection

The Jets have their work cut out for them if they want to make it back to the playoffs in 2012. The New York Jets had high hopes for the 2012 season but unfortunately, things do not always go as planned. In the Jets case, they went from being a supposed Super Bowl contender at the start of last season to an 8-8 finish and a lot of questions that need answering. Chief among...

Gailey: Bills look bigger, faster

Bills coach Chan Gailey watched his team go through an OTA practice on Tuesday and thought two things. The 2012 version is bigger and faster than the 2011 squad he inherited. And that was with wide receiver Stevie Johnson, outside linebacker Shawne Merriman and defensive tackle Kyle Williams still working their way back from injury. "A lot of energy and a lot of quickness...

Bills WR Johnson expected to miss minicamps

Buffalo Bills receiver Stevie Johnson is expected to miss most - if not all - of the team's offseason minicamp practices to give him time to recover from groin surgery. Coach Chan Gailey calls it unlikely for Johnson to be fully cleared until training camp in July. He provided the timetable Tuesday after the Bills held their first voluntary minicamp practice. Johnson did not...

How Buffalo Bills Make The Playoffs: Part 2

Welcome back to those who are still with me as we document how Buffalo can get to 10-6 and, perhaps, find themselves a Wild Card spot for the 2012 playoffs after a 12-year break. I know we already may have lost some readers with the first part, where the Bills won three of their first four, including a big game at home against New England. b But this is just a "what if"...

Meet the Jets: LaRon Landry

When healthy, LaRon Landry is a Pro Bowl caliber talent. Unfortunately for Landry, Achilles injuries have hampered his play and curtailed his season the past few years. GWR's Andrew Soares provides a full run-down of the Jets prized safety.

Why Do You Hate The Jets? AFC South Edition

In our latest edition of Why Do You Hate The Jets? we examine the AFC South to see who, if anyone, has the unconditional right to look down upon the Jets. Spoiler Alert: not one team in this division holds such an honor. Here’s why: Just Shut Up Jacksonville Jaguars – Other than the fact that Jacksonville has been 20-28 over the past three seasons, the Jets absolutely dominated...

Would there be a Revis Island if the Jets had not traded ahead of the Steelers?

Back in 2007 heading up to the NFL Draft I had an obsession with 3 players on defense.  I thought there were 3 game changing guys in that draft.  Those three players were Patrick Willis, LaMarr Woodley and Darrelle Revis.  The rest of the draft was solid but these three guys were going to be the biggest studs in the draft.  They have shown that is the case. As the draft came...

Jets sign Stephon Heyer and Ray Willis

The New York Jets have signed veteran offensive tackles Stephon Heyer and Ray Willis. The 6-foot-6, 330-pound Heyer entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with Washington in 2007 and started 33 games for the Redskins from 2007-10. In 2011 he was active for 12 games, including two starts, with the Oakland Raiders after signing as an unrestricted free agent on Aug. 3.

New York Jets 19th Most Popular Team in NFL According to Recent ESPN Poll

The New York Jets are only the 19th most popular team in the NFL according to a recent ESPN poll. The Jets are ranked behind the Seattle Seahawks, Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins. The Jets may be media darlings, but not many Americans identify them as their favorite team. At least you can say it's not a bunch of bandwagon fans cheering on the green and white every Sunday...
