Bucs fans have given their mixed opinions on Tampa Bay general manager Mark Dominik for his draft selections. Players like Sammie Stroughter, Arrelious Benn, Josh Freeman, and Gerald McCoy have all been labeled “busts” by fans on several boards and radio shows at some point. So do you, the fan, feel you have what it takes to go pick by pick with Dominik?  Well, here is your chance. Co-Founders Steven Burkett and former Denver Broncos General Manager Ted Sundquist have created a web program called “Eye-Draft” which allows you to be the general manager of any team and draft players. Using any source for scouting information, draft experts that you trust, or your own evaluation skills, you can draft your team the same way any general manager does. Here’s how it works: Register your email address at http://eye-draft.com Enter to GM your favorite team or any number of teams. No single person can represent more than one Club per draft, but multiple drafts will be conducted.  Select one team or try to manage all 32 over 32 different Drafts! Evaluate the College Players through your own trusted scouting sources in the media, online, or in person. Build your draft board and formulate your strategies in preparation of being ON THE CLOCK. Eye-Draft will use the identical rules, time constraints, and selection sequence that the PROS use at the start of the official Draft.  Then you’ll be able to make trades up to grab that franchise quarterback, or fall back to leverage even more talent.  You can accumulate numerous picks or zero in on just a few.  It’s all up to you! Winners will be determined by who comes closest to the ACTUAL selections (Round and Player) of the teams they represent. What’s in it for the players? Super Bowl XLVIII tickets in New York. However, the winner needs to match their team’s picks more than anyone else in the entire Eye-Draft and they are “estimating 2,000+ contestants” according to Burkett. Burkett has also developed a program called Eye Scout, an innovative software used to help scouts, players, and coaches capture the information they are looking for. “I feel Eye-Scout is the ultimate general manager tool because not only does it speed the evaluation process, it also gives the general manager the ability to evaluate the scouts individually,” Burkett told me via email. “Eye-Scout really helps to ensure that all your picks are in line with the weighted factors and specifics that you have decided on based on team needs.” He has also gotten good feedback from Bucs head coach Greg Schiano and offensive coordinator Mike Sullivan. “I know it can help Tampa Bay. I’ve shown it to Schiano and he liked it,” Burkett said. “I’ve had good discussions with Mike Sullivan who as a West Point guy. He gets the military technology application of Eye-Scout.” Both Eye Scout and Eye Draft share one similarity: To give teams, players, and fans a unique way on how to scout and draft. Will this be the way of the future? That’s not certain. But Burkett and Sundquist appear to be on the right path. And for those planning to draft, “You’re on the clock…” The post Eye Draft: Where Bucs fans can draft like a real general manager. appeared first on The Bay Cave.
