The Falcons hope to take their pass rush to New Orleans
In the previous meeting, the Falcons were not able to sack New Orleans quarterback Drew Brees.
The Falcons are hoping that a healthy and revitalized John Abraham is ready to lead the charge when the two NFC South foes meet on Dec. 26.
Abraham was a disruptive force with 3.5 sacks and two forced fumbles in the 41-14 pummeling of the Jaguars.
Abraham nearly matched his season sack total. He entered the game with five sacks - and two of those came in the season opener against the Bears.
Abraham hurt his groin in the second game of the season against the Eagles and has been fighting the injury ever since.
"It's all about feeling healthy," said Abraham. "I feel a lot better than I did in the middle of the year. I was kind of going through the motions. Now I feel like I can pretty much be myself out there and I think it showed."

Falcons on mission to keep Brees from record
FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees stands just 305 passing yards away from breaking a hallowed NFL record.
If Atlanta Falcons head coach Mike Smith and his fan base -- who share a bitter rivalry with the Saints -- can do anything about it, they would prefer that Brees not break the record when the two teams meet in an NFC South showdown one week from...

Drew Brees, Saints Cruise Past Vikings, 42-20
Drew Brees led the New Orleans Saints to an easy 42-20 road win to improve the Saints’ record to 11-3 with a record-breaking performance over the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings are now facing their first six-game losing streak since 1984, and even Adrian Peterson’s return from a three-game absence was not enough to jump start the Vikings' offense. The Saints have...
Drew Brees Breaks Off Contract Talks With Saints
Drew Brees prefers to keep his focus on the field, not the windfall that awaits him. Brees, 32, is due to be a free agent after this season, though the Saints can maintain rights to him through the franchise tag. "You know, I didn't want it to become a distraction," Brees said of the decision that was quietly made sometime in the past month. "And from the discussions...

Drew Brees and the Saints Crush the Hapless Vikings
The Vikings have been competitive in most of their games this year. The three glaring exceptions have been the blow out losses to the Bears and Packers, and today’s game against the Saints. Saints Nation: Offensive Player Grades @ Vikings
Despite a sloppy start that included alarming mistakes, laziness, lack of focus and penalties, the Saints scored 42 points. The offense is that good. To be able to overcome some of the glitches to put up a point total like that is amazing. Granted, they didn't exactly play the best defense in the world, but I think the most encouraging thing we saw was that this was one of the...
