The Falcons are facing a lot of decisions this off-season and that starts with their 14 unrestricted free agents. We will go through them one by one and decide whether or not the Falcons should re-sign them. A lot of times it's not as easy as it looks as some decisions have more than just roster spot implications. We also have to think about the salary cap as it is expected to increase by just $200,000 this season.
What will Atlanta do with Chase Coffman?
Chase Coffman is a player Atlanta picked up last season that has the potential to be a nice dual threat tight-end. He was a highly touted tight end coming out of Mizzou a few years back, but has basically been a flop. He recorded one catch for Atlanta last season, and only has four total in his career. There really isn’t much to say about Coffman, he simply isn’t what he was in college. He has the speed and size to be a playmaker, but hasn’t seen the field enough to make an impact. Obviously, Atlanta is in dire need of a tight-end, but they should target one high in the draft.
