The Atlanta Falcons on Wednesday agreed with outside linebacker Stephen Nicholas on a five-year deal, ESPN.com reported.
The report did not disclose financial terms. Nicholas was thought to be targeted by the New York Giants but will remain with Atlanta, where he spent his first four seasons.
The 6-3, 230-pound Nicholas has not missed a game since his 2007 rookie season and is considered one of the best coverage linebackers in the NFL. He had 78 tackles last season.
