Former Oakland Raiders and New England Patriots DE Richard Seymour would still like to play for Atlanta, where he has a home, but there's no such thing as a hometown discount, especially if you're not playing for that team already.
CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora says that while Seymour appreciates their efforts in trying to sign him, what they're currently offering isn't to his liking.
Syemour, 33, has drawn little interest from teams other than Atlanta, who have brought in some other veterans this offseason and convinced TE Tony Gonzalez not to retire. Looks liek the end of the road may be near for Seymour if no deal is reached.
Falcons were trying to sign DL Richard Seymour but he tells me they couldn't agree on contract terms. "I thank them for their efforts."
