Found August 20, 2013 on NFL Injury Report:
Over the weekend, Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White’s ankle injury was diagnosed as a minor sprain. While it isn’t an ailment that would sideline White during the regular season, it is likely to prevent White from playing again this preseason, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. The Falcons have no reason to push White prior to Week 1, so, as a precautionary measure, they are expected to hold him out for the remainder of the preseason. There’s no reason to think his start to the regular season is in jeopardy due to his current ankle injury. White suffered the injury when his feet were tangled up in the back of the end zone during the Falcons’ second preseason game Thursday night against the Baltimore Ravens. Prior to exiting the game, White was demanding a pass interference call, which seemed to indicate the injury wasn’t extremely significant. The injury is alarming considering White is such a key part of the Falcons’ offense, as the nine-year veteran has totaled six consecutive 1,000-yard receiving campaigns. However, it doesn’t seem like this is something that will impact his regular season. Follow @TheNFLInjuryRpt Looking for fantasy football advice?
