Atlanta Falcons safety William Moore has been arrested and charged with simple battery after police say he got into a dispute with a women and grabbed her by the shoulder, according to a report by WSB-TV, via The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Moore was taken and booked in Fulton County Jail and is due in court at 11 a.m. Friday. "We are aware of the situation involving William Moore and are in the process of gathering more information," a Falcons spokesperson said in a statement.
"Because this is now a legal matter, the club will have no further comment at this time.”
Moore just signed five-year, $30 million deal with $14 million guaranteed on March 9th. He had 105 tackles and four interceptions last season, and was selected to the Pro Bowl after 49ers' safeties Donte Whitner and Dashon Goldson couldn't make it due to the Super Bowl.
